Tony's Cafe, Newark

Tony's is the best Italian/Pizzeria in Delaware. The closest thing you can get to NY pizza, great dishes and HUGE portions. The staff is friendly and always have smiles on their faces. You almost feel like family when you are in there. My ONLY complaint is make sure Tony or his everyday assistant is doing your cooking, when there is a substitute while Tony is away the food is NOT at it's best! P.S. The Penne a la vodka is AMAZING!!!!

This place is GREAT! The sauce is best I've had eating out and the portions are huge. You will not get better Italian anywhere in the Delaware area for this price. My favorite is the gnocchi...and I'm obsessed with it. Cheesesteaks are great too!

It's one of the best in De if not the best,place is tiny maybe 10 tables and they are cramped,the food is great just as the owners,call ahead for pick-up the place gets mobbed

Tony's Cafe is right outside the University of Delaware campus, but fortunately very few students know it exists or it would be overrun at all hours because it is better and far cheaper than any Italian restaurant nearby. The pizza is the best in the state of Delaware, and the pasta dishes and other choices are great. The owners are very friendly and eating off a combination of real plates and drinking from paper cups gives Tony's its own speacial charm.
