The trademark symbol of this place is the huge gilded sun that hangs above the entrance. At Amigo you can dine on traditional French cuisine in elegant surroundings where the black tie waiters attend to your needs. Roses are proffered to ladies and a guitarist serenades lovers at their table. The lavish menu and ambience are only equaled by the prices here which are justifiably high.
This is a restaurant with a long history in HK, and a favorite among the locals. It's location on Wong Ngai Chung Rd next to the race course is a bit unusual. But the level of cuisine is certainly very high.
Service is also excellent. Each of the guests receives a personalized mini notepad/Post It pad with his/her name stamped in gold, which is a nice touch.
