Over rated food and very snooty staff. As someone who has worked in Hospitality since college, I'm always surprised to see Austin's parking lot so full. I've eaten in true four star restaurants with very friendly service...not quite sure what the attitude is about.
Getting seated might be a challenge, but that should tell you just how good the food is ! Super steaks, radical ribs, soups are to die for... I'm not sure what's not to like about Austin's - the place to go to spend time with good friends and have a fantastic meal at a reasonable price !
The best steak house in the Reading area (I know that's not saying much). You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the steaks are very good. I am giving this 5 stars not because it is the best steak I have ever had, but because this is a $100 dinner for two in most other cities at a more affordable price - look to spend about $50-70 for two. Service is great as they work as a team.
Famous for their potato soup and ribs. People who never eat soup dig their potato soup. Their ribs are so good, they just fall off the bone. You will absolutely not be disappointed. The fact that they are a locally owned non-franchise establishment makes it that much better. Bon appitite.
always good food,
the service varies, you either get a wait staff sitting at your table or you see no one........
the problem is that they don't ttake reservations, so i've gone to casa grande many more times, just down the street!
The food at Austin's is consistently good...the Cajun Ribeye is fabulous. The wait is usually very long, and the service is a tad manic, not a fine dining atmosphere, but if you just want a great steak, this is the place to go!
With it's low lighting and comfy booths it's clear to see why there's usually a long wait to be seated. I've never had a bad meal here. They make their own blue cheese dressing that is outta this world. Try the tortilla soup when available. They have an ice cream/warm brownie desert that's orgasmic. Great place to take a date!
