It's a great place for small kids--lots of trails to run around with no cars. We have the annual membership, even though we don't live particularly close. The displays inside the Convervatory change often enough to make frequent visits worthwhile and the special events are great. The restaurant serves good food and is vegetarian-friendly.
Easter Brunch
The worst Brunch EVER and worst yet was $60 (plus another 10 bucks for a small Champaign) bucks per person. I have been going to the Longwood “Special Brunches” for many years. This year was awful, the only had omelet station for any kind of breakfast foods and that took 45 mins to get the omelet and it was not cooked. The chicken was so rubbery I could not cut it with my knife and the process ham was just as bad. We were put in a dark corner and never saw my waitress after sitting so no water or juice refills. So in the end for $70 dollars, I had a small salad and some Jell-o Pudding and half a glass of OJ.
Longwood Gardens is a very nice place to take your family. Even on holidays its hard to take your eyes off the trees and buildings. Please go and check it out im sure you will love it..
Exceptional! Year round, this is a fantastic place to visit. There's something for everyone! I've visited gardens all over the world, and none have compared to Longwoods. A magical place for anyone who enjoys gardening, plants and flowers. A Disneyland for gardeners. Constantly changing and improving, too. I'm really impressed with how well kept this place is. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great events offerings. Only have good things to say.
We went there today and it was so fantastic! The fountain, the flowers the grounds...it is an amazing place and filled with all the sights and sounds of nature. It makes you realize how wonderful life and the earth is. It is a work of art!
