Continental Restaurant, Philadelphia

This place has a very comfy and relaxing ambiance. The staff is nice and friendly. Good and delicious food as well.

I am a disabled person who requires a service dog with me at all times and I was REFUSED SERVICE IN THIS RESTAURANT! The waiter and manager VERY rude to me and kept asking very loudly what my disability is, which is illegal and also demanding paperwork for the dog which I am not legally obligated to carry or show to anyone. I was HUMILIATED to say the least and after being yelled at IN FRONT OF OTHER PATRONS for almost an hour I just needed to get my blood sugar back up by getting something to eat so we went elsewhere. THIS RESTAURANT AND IT'S STAFF DISCRIMINATE AGAINST DISABLED PEOPLE!!!!! IT'S 2010, ADA WAS PASSED IN 1990! GET WITH THE PROGRAM!!!! THE STAFF IS OBVIOUSLY EITHER NOT EDUCATED AT ALL, ILL EDUCATED, OR COMPLETELY IGNORANT; BUT EITHER WAY WHAT THEY DID TO ME IS COMPLETELY ILLEGAL AND I SUGGEST EVERYONE BOYCOTT THIS RESTAURANT ESPECIALLY IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW IS DISABLED OR REQUIRES A SERVICE DOG ACCOMPANY THEM AT ALL TIMES. I AM STILL UPSET OVER THIS, IT IS JUST NOT RIGHT.

i think some of the items are a little pricey but the environment is very cool, with interesting and very very tasty menu items.

Go there every weekend for their eggs benedict. Great food, reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere.

We loved the ambiance when we were last there in 05 and can't wait for our return. I hope the swinging basket chairs are still there since I nearly swung over the glass railing. We just had appetizers and drinks late at night but it was one of the most magical times we had in the city we love. As Bostonians and Patriots fans, we love Philly and are looking forward to this upcoming visit.

If you're willing to wait outside or stuffed in a loud corner, the 'meal experience' will be worth it. Before being sat, you will barely be greeted. Don't count on a smile or a hello. However, once at a table, patrons are encouraged to take their time. The presentation, taste and portions are generous and delightful. The assortment of beverages are also in abundance. As you will soon see, while you wait close to an hour for a taste of what you've ordered.
