Continental Restaurant and Martini Bar
Restaurant entrepreneur Steven Starr has been offering tapas-style dining in this restaurant and martini bar for over five years. The trendy and hip Continental attracts patrons of a wide range of ages to its neo-diner atmosphere. In fact, it used to be a diner now, giant martini-olive lamps hang over the booths, while Latin and lounge music plays softly. The restaurant's contemporary cuisine includes outstanding sushi-grade pan-seared tuna and miso glazed Chilean sea bass. Follow dinner with a martini, including such exotic variations as chocolate and the Hawaii 5-O.
Located in the heart of Old City, this trendy nightspot offers excellent food and an even better drink selection! Not only are their portion sizes enough to share, their presentation and taste of the different salads and entrees are fun and exciting. Their drink selection, however, is definitely this bar's crowning glory. Not only do they offer innovative drinks, but thier selection of liqour is unmatched, try a dirty matrtini with Hanger One Vodka, amazing! While their items are a bit on the pricey side and it tends to be packed on the weekends, this place is definitely worth the money and the wait.
Very cool place and once your inside, there is no mistaking that it is a martini bar. From the outside it looks like an old time diner because it was at one point. However inside you'll find a cosy, contemporary bar with booth seating and giant martini fixtures used for decorations. Great drinks, good food and a cool place to hang out.
Being trendy may inherently mean smaller portions, but the ambiance is fun and contemporary. Located in the heart of Olde City, Continental is a well-known and loved local restaurant. Be prepared to spend between $10-$30!
It was about 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon and we had a martini at the bar. After a short wait for a table we enjoyed a great lunch and some exotic martinis. I'll recommend the buzz aldrin to anybody. You would never know it was mid - day by all the people in there. The staff was knowledgable in all facets and the manager actually stopped at each table to check on their service. This to me was a definite sign of a desire to be the very best in the industry. On the way out they handed us an invitation to a cocktail party they were having the next evening. If we werent going to be out of town, we definitely would have participated. You get what you pay for at the Continental!
