There's a buffet lunch that's popular with everyone, and a buffet dinner, but take a close look at the full menu too: tandoori breads baked to order in a clay Tandoor oven, 14 appetizers, including Keema Samosa and Masala Vada, and a good selection of chicken, lamb, and vegetarian dishes all spiced to order. It's worth it just for the fresh bread.
Food keeps moving in this University town restaurant - well it is almost more of a sit-in than a restaurant. Decor not very appealing, but if you want some decent food at a decent price, you can try this once in a while. It is not like I want to keep going there, but okay occasionally.
I was born and brough up in India so I can tell authentically about the quality of Indian food. Tandoor India always serve atleast 3-4 days old food and I had worst food in this resturents. I wont recommend anyone to go there as food tastes so bad and it is not healthy food. Just wastage of Money and time.
I should've listened to the prior reviews, but decided to give it a shot. Big mistake! The restaurant seemed dirty and shabby and the food was worse than just mediocre. I should've followed my gut instict upon walking through the front door. Lacking in flavor and craftsmanship, the food was a disappointment. The only good thing about it was the bottle of wine we brought. Since moving out of Middlesex County, NJ we were hoping to find a taste of India...it's just not here! Our favorite remains Pooja in Somerset, NJ.
I go to this place at least twice a month. For 10 bucks, you get all you can eat and the food is awesome.
The lunch menu is slightly different (and less expensive), and I go whenever I can during lunch hours.
See you there!
Have been to better Indian restaurants in the Philly area. The foods not bad, but lacks the mouth watering flavor you find at a few other Indian restaurants. Its all up to the talent of the chefs the restarant employs.
