Lavilla Family Restaurant
LaVilla is Bucks County's best kept secret. Whether it's Gino Lenti's famous Chambersburg tomato pie or Ravioli or Lasagna, Gino prepares Italian dishes to perfection. Every month he cooks special Old World dishes for Amici Del Buon Mangiare (friends of good eating) an eating club that meets the first Monday of every month.
The food is good. If you have leftovers, ask to wrap them yourselves. We had two slices of pizza leftover along with some crust that we wanted to take home for our dog. Whomever wrapped it, merely put the pizza on a paper plate and threw it into a paper bag. The crust was thrown out even after we specifically told our server we wanted to keep the crust for our dog.
We went there for an early Saturday dinner. Bring a megaphone- the place is incredibly noisy.
The food was good, though. We had steak and fish, both nicely prepared and good portions.
The high noise level meant a one time visit, however.
The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. They have the best tomato pie I've ever taste it. All the dishes are made from scratch. The service was great. We will definately go back again soon!!!!
This is a fantastic place to eat!! The food is great, starting with a fabolous Chambers (Tomato) pie, to pasta dishes, like Penne Primavera, Shrimp Scampi and Seafood Portofino- some of my favorities, ending with great chicken recipies like Chicken Cordon Bleu, and the specials seen every day. The Filet Mignon, and the Lamp Chops are fantastic, and never better anywhere else. The servis is great, and very polite, and the owner is very nice, and very caring about your whole La Villa experiences. I love this place!!!
I went one day to try out their Tomatoe Pie, since I am a lover for this type of pizza. I tell you no lie, it was ' excellent' I have never tasted a tomatoe pie like it. They had the chucks of real marinated tomatoe pieces on the pie. Most pies I have had, have only the typical tomatoe sauce with the cheese. You have to try it! , It didn't even need any additiional toppings. You will always go back!!!
This restaurant was great. My wife loved the Tuscany salad. I had something there that I've never had at any other restaurant. It is called the Italian Chicken Cheese Steak. It's white meat chicken sauteed with spinach and peppers, and served on a hoagie roll. Fantastic!
The food is outstanding, excellent value for the money, excellent service. They have a large menu selection so you visit often and never eat the same dish. (The danger here you just might get hooked on one dish). The owner is very nice and cares about your dining experience. Special requests are never a problem. My favorites are the Tuscany Salad and the Chicken Francaise (in a Lemmon butter sauce) WOW. They make a tomato pie with a very thin layer crust that is the best pizza I ever eaten.
