Three of us just had lunch at Allways. What it lacks in atmosphere, it makes up in good, nicely presented food. We had the Falafal platter, excellent falafal (light and flavorful), hummos and a very nice tomato yogurt etc. salad; Asparagus salad, a mix ofa lot of greens,a few asparagus and other veggies; and, a smoked turkey wrap. The wrap was too big for my husband to eat in one sitting. The turkey was OK, not great because it is processed, not off a freshly roasted bird, wrap was whole wheat,a plus. For dessert we split a chocolate bomb cookie. Intense chocolate favor. Would go for that alone. Bottom line: I would go back and I am not easy to please. An excellent place for a casual lunch.
I am eating their raw salad right now. It is my favorite salad..period..and I've had a lot of good salads (Blue Sage on 2nd Street Pike makes great ones.)
I've never had bad food at All Ways. I think, though, that take-out is the way to go. You can pick up your food fifteen or twenty minutes after you order it....the service is polite and prompt...if you do take-out.
All Ways Cafe is a great place and the service is always as prompt as possible and pleasant. I have never had a bad meal there and the prices are fair. The only problem I have encountered is the shortage of table space - which is hard to remedy. The last time I was there two women chose to monopolize a table for four way after they had finished their meal, dessert and coffee despite the fact that there were several groups waiting to be seated. It is unfortunate that people can be so inconsiderate and ignorant.
