The Inn at Tannersville,, Tannersville

I feel so bad about all these bad reviews. But I went to the restaurant with my family to celebrate my mothers graduation from ESU. There were 6 of us and we had a great enjoyable time. I have also eaten in the bar area with my husband and it was equally as pleasent (maybe a little louder than dining hal) but we choose to eat there and it was fine.

Pretty good. My wife and I have been going here for a few years. We have always enjoyed it and the Murder Mystery theatre has been fun.

I agree with sad, hungry and broke. Either the good reviews were written by someone who had enough to drink the food didn't matter or it was some other Tannersville Inn. Out of the eleven of us four dinners were messed up. One got a Delmonico steak the could not be cut with their knife, another whose hamburger was stone cold along with the fries, then there was the hamburger that was served as a cheeseburger and finally a dinner that wasn't even served. I am not counting the chicken/shrimp combo that had no shrimp as one that was messed up although the diner did not even finish it. I don't know how I was so fortunate to have been serve a Kobe beef sirloin that was eatable although it was no where near as tender as described by their menu. Since there were so many of us we had two servers, as a result some of us got salads that were piled high and with croutons while the other half got wilted greens and no croutons. The inn made no recourse to made good on any of this by at least offering coffee or dessert on the house. The final indignity (other this might have been more of an indignity to the servers) was when they told us that the any entrees that were a mistake due to them were deducted from their pay. I don't know if this was to make us feel sorry for them because it certainly wasn't there fault but to have to tell us that at all certainly put an additional damper on our evening. The menu states that the inn was established in the 1840's and it seems the food and working conditions are certainly left over from then. I'm only rating them one star because the software won't let me give them no stars.

Great place! It's refreshing to go somewhere that's not a chain restaurant for once. It has a friendly atomsphere, and you can tell they really care about the food. The building has a lot of history too, I had a good time just walking around looking at all of the pictures of the building - some dating back to the late 1800s!

This restaurant was horrible. Not to mention that the owner was a major wretch. With her cheap, cheesy decorations and horrible dispostition. She should worry more about the horrible food then her outdated decor. I wouldn't recommond this restaurant to anyone.
