I have been going to Peppe's for many many years. It is an upscale restaurant with excellent service. Their menu is somwhat limited although they always have a half dozen specials. I think Peppe's is certainly one of the best restaurants in the Poconos. Enjoy!
I think the decor is very nice - very italian old world. Place is very clean - I'm a stickler for bathrooms and they are also clean. The food & service is great. Not rushed at all. I don't think the prices are bad either. I think it could be in a nicer location, as oppose to next door to a bowling alley and across from a mini shopping center - but hey you're in the Poconos! It's one of the better place in the poconos.
I have given Peppe's the benefit of the doubt and gone there twice... both times the service has stunk and the food was nothing to rave about. On the last visit we ordered a scallop appetizer that was not even fully cooked! The pasta sauce tastes like catsup and the veal parmesan is all bread, and to top it all off, the staff is extremely rude and pompous! All in all I have to say that Peppes is the worst dining experience I have had in years.
My wife and I have been going to Peppe s for 17 years since we moved to the Pocono s from NYC. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is always fine. This is one of the only places you can enjoy real Italian food in the Pocono s. Don t pass up the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful Italian Dinner.
