i have been going to the Crossroads for a long time and i have always been satisfied. Their food is above avg. and service pretty good. Their prices for bar food is a bit over priced, on the whole it's a place that ikeep going back to. My personal favorites are the california cheese steak & pepperoni and black olives pizza. Its nice to wash them down with a pitcher of draught birchbeer.
Yeah not a fan of the greasy bar pizza, although my sister swears by it. I prefer the cheesesteaks. The sauce is very different from most cheesesteak places, kinda sweet and they don't put enough on for me so I always ask for more:) The kicker about the cheesesteaks is that most places put goopy american cheese on them, but Crossroads cheese is a blend of mozzarella and provolone. So good!!!!
Great place to have a cheap meal and a few beers with friends. Highly reccommended!
I am a pizza hound. I like my pizza just plain--cheese and sauce. That is how I judge pizza from every pizza joint in the world. How does it taste plain? I would kill for a plain Crossroads pizza. The sauce is salty, the crust is crunchy and slightly burned on the edges, the cheese is brown in spots all over the pie. It is the perfect meld of synergy. The sum of the parts is greater than the individual pieces. My mouth is watering just thinking about their pizza. I could safely say that I've eaten pizza from a 1000 different places. Crossroads is my favorite. Those of you who dislike it and wouldn't feed it to their dog--You probably like Ellios Frozen Pizza. (Now THAT wouldn't meet dog food standards). This pizza has FLAVOR that delights your tongue.
My fiancee and I enjoy the cheese steaks at The Crossroads. They're wonderful! I don't have a clue why people rave about their pizza, though. I've had that, and it tasted like a bad frozen pizza you might get at the local Giant. Again, though, their cheese steaks are awesome and well worth a visit.
Old Style crispy pizza with golden brown cheese and tasty tomato sauce. Generous with the flavorful sausage topping. Nice little booths in a quaint old style hotel bar. BUT!!! They close early on weekends!!! 10 pm on a Saturday night when we were there.
