Sammy's Authentic Italian, Harrisburg

The Veal ala Sammy that one of us got last night was awful. The veal was like a piece of lunchmeat that was about 3 bitefuls. There were 2 small pieces of shrimp and one piece of broccoli that left the diner still hungry. Seafood bisque tasted only like cream and we complained and they took it off the bill. We asked the waiter if all of the veal dishes were like that and he said yes - he's told management about it but they haven't changed the portion. We won't be going back as there are much better Italian restaurants in Harrisburg.

This IS THE greatest italian restaurant in Harrisburg. BYOB and you will enjoy the most wonderful, authentic italian food ever! Everything is served hot and fresh! They did make staff changes recently, but it will only get better from here. The new head server is doing a great job and is much more pleasant.

I love it here! It is great authentic Italian food and everything we have tried I would get again. I almost don't want to try new things. We have always had fast and friendly service.

This is such a nice place to eat. We were there at dusk and they waiter gave us a table in the front so we could look out on the capitol building. It was beautiful as it lit up for the night. The food was wonderful and a fair price. There were people not dressed up but you will feel better about it if you dress business casual to go.

I'm a faithful customer of Sammy's and will sing it praise after every visit. The food is always hot, fresh and unbelievably good. One of the finer Italian eateries in our area that offers BYOB so you can pair your own wine with your entree. Try their lunch buffet (last time I was there it was under $7.00) and you will forever be a fan of Sammy's! Oh, weekends are always tough; make sure you make reservations. :)

Great food here at Sammy's and love the BYOB; I feel as though the restaurant should carry light music in the background but besides that...the food is excellent, time and time again!

This gem of a restaurant serves delicious Italian dishes. The atmosphere is casual and charming. There is seating upstairs and the lower level is great for larger parties. The last time I visited, there wasn't an empty table. Spend the day visiting the state Capitol building across the street then stop in for a relaxing dinner.

Great food for a very reasonable price. The quaint atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date or a night out with friends. I wish there were more BYO restaurants like this in the area!

The buffet was very appetizing. Ranging from fresh salads and fruits to several different appetizers to pastas and meatballs. I was very pleased with the quality of food and the great price ($6.95). My first experience was pretty good. I'll definitely visit again in the near future.
