Lakeview Lodge, Lawrenceville

Wonderful great food Waitress and hostess very attentive. It's a country Inn and that's what it looks like clean and friendly atmosphere. Will most definitely be going again.

We go the the lodge several times a year. It is always a relaxing get away for us. The food is superb! The prime rib will melt in your mouth! The staff is always very friendly and accomadating. The rooms are spotless. We also have enjoyed the last 3 New Years Eves there and keep going back for more! Thanks Michelle and Dexter for your hospitality!

We have dined at the Lodge twice, only because we were given a gift certificate to eat there. The food was extremely expensive. Who ever decorated the dining room needs to get some ambition and redo the entire room. Very outdated, curtains are faded from the sun, window sills are dirty. The baked goods are much too sweet. They need to hire a good pastry chef. The Lodge posts pictures of the bears that feed from their dumpsters but fails to inform the customers how many bears are killed or injured on the road. Wild life animals should be discouraged from feeding from the dumpsters. The owners need to hire someone to landscape their property. We hesitated to go in, the outside was so grown up with weeds. Only good thing I can say the view of the Lake was gorgeous. Don't waste your money, you can view the Lake for free.

BEWARE!!!!!! My fiance and I had our engagement dinner here. Luckily it was just our immediate family. We had been there before and thought it was a decent place. After this time we will not be going back. Our service was horrible!!!! The waitresses were rude and kept forgetting to bring what we asked for. There was hair in two of our dishes. The children's chicken finger meal was just sad. It was not much bigger than some popcorn chicken. The food was very blande. The chicken was rubbery and dry, with no flavor. The alfedo sauce just tasted like thick water. My sister-in-law-to-be got a salad and had to pick out half of the lettuce because it was old and turning brown. We finally got our rolls that were supposed to come with our meal after we had all finished eating and after having to ask for them at least three times. There was also a small child (that we think belonged to an employee/owner) freely running around the resaurant. She kept coming up to out table which distracted the kids that were there with us. That was incredably irresponsible and down right dangerous these days anyone could have walked off with her.

The rooms are average but clean and you can't beat the price. The views and location are pristine. The food is also very good and the staff is extremely friendly, as are their two dogs which have free roam of the property. Great place for a getway, but if your idea of getting away includes watching your favorite TV shows, look elsewhere, as there are a very limited number of TV channels available and they don't include any of the major networks.

I had both a family dinner and a wedding rehearsal dinner at the Lodge one night after the other, and both were crowds of more than 20 people. I can understand that these are unusually large crowds, however, they knew we were coming and should have had more than one waitress handling the whole party. On the other hand, the food is excellent. I highly recommend the ribs if you eat here. If you don't mind waiting a bit for your food, this is a decent place to go for a getaway.

We in the area of Lakeview Lodge want this enterprise to be very successful. Being a rural community there is not many choices for good dining. Lakeview has improved greatly since they first opened which leads me to believe they were inexperienced in the restaurant field. The setting is lovely but they need to continue to work on the landscaping. The food is good and reasonably priced but not too creative. I think one of the neglected areas is the presentation and the monotony of canned vegetables. I still visit the restaurant at least twice a month because I have great hopes for their success.

This lodge has a lot of value for the price, the rooms are lovely, comfortable, with a beautiful high view of Cowanesque lake. The restaurant has two rooms, one smoking with a bar and casual and the other has a more formal look, the food is fantastic and affordable, we were going to stay there one night but decided to stay 2 after being there. We will tell everyone we know about this lodge. It is wonderful, out of the way, but very scenic.
