No matter the price range no room should have debris under the bed from a previous guest or hair in the bathroom. No maid service - not referring to bed linens not being changed as an ecological factor. Trash cans not emptied, etc. No staff returned phone calls. Couldn't even get a bucket of ice - no staff. We were there peak fall season. Web page pictures misleading
I am kinda of judgemental when it comes to hotels. I like a hotel to look better than the house I live in. We tried booking a hotel but everything was booked up but the Coach Stop Inn. I did not think the pictures on line looked to nice. So reluctantly we book it. We go.... and we NEVER had so much fun. The rooms all had chairs outside on the porch so the group of 8 (4 different rooms) I was with could all be together outside. Then at night they had a campfire ring and wood and we all sat outside telling stories, jokes and by the end of the night we had met like 20 new freinds that were also staying there. We ordered dinner to go from the inn and ate it around the campfire. That weekend we enjoyed riding our Harley's, meeting new freinds, laughing with our old friends and seeing some beautiful land. The room was clean and a place to lay our heads. Isn't that all the really matters now. You really can't judge a book by its cover. Yes it may not look like something great but if you have freinds and a campfire and good food, how can you go wrong. If we would have only knew to bring marshmallows............well we'll take them next year, cause we are going back.
We were told they had an inground pool. This was true, but not functional. It would be at least next summer for that.We were told they had asphalt parking lot, since we have Harleys. All they had was paved parking in front of the front door. Our bikes ended being parked on the walkway in front of our hotel room to keep from getting damaged.Dining/bar/lounge closed at 9pm,even on weekends. All and all it was very dissappointing,as to what we were promised and their prices were high and not worth what we paid.
WE HAVE STAYED AT THE COACH STOP MANY TIMES IN THE PAST BEFORE THE NEW MANAGEMENT TOOK OVER. WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH EVERYTHING- ESPECIALLY THE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF. ONLY CONCERN ARE THE HORSES OUT BACK- THEY HAD NO WATER AND ONLY A MUD PUDDLE TO DRINK FROM( I WALKED BACK THERE TO CHECK!) AT NO TIME DID ANYONE, BUT ME, CHECK ON THE HORSES. SINCE A COMPANY CALLED NATURE QUEST TOOK IT OVER THE LEAST THEY CAN DO IS TAKE CARE OF THEIR OWN ANIMALS!!
VIEW FROM OUR BACK IS SPECTACULAR- WE EVEN SAW A RAINBOW ONE EVENING!!
MIGHT STAY THERE AGAIN- DON'T
Spent 2 nights at the couch stop while our 2 daughters took an overnight horse excursion with Nature Quest. The service/food at the hotel was excellent. The service/food at the hotel was excellent. The atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxing while we dined in their quaint dining room. Words alone cannot express the adventure and outstanding treatment our daughters (15 and 25) received from guide Rachel on their approx. 40 mile adventure in the mountains that covered almost 2 full days. This was not a standard overnight trail ride, but an educational adventure into the mountains where trails were blazed, nature was experienced and great friendships were shared around a campfire. I would recommend this combination style vacation to everyone and anyone. A high level of experience is not required. All that is needed is a sense of adventure and a willingness to follow direction.
Just stayed there last weekend and found it clean and comfortable. The food was good too. On the downside, the walls are so thin we could hear the people in the next room talking, snoring, and other noises from the bathroom. For that reason I would not go back. Also, once the lounge closes there is no one except tenants on the property.
We came here to eat about three years ago in February.
The salad bar was okay...but our main meal was nothing
to write home about. Maybe , now things are better.
Don't know. Nice looking building from the outside.
We have eaten at The Log Cabin ( about a mile away ) many times...and
the food there is always very good.
