by the fire
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/1/08
This is the place our group meets every Sunday by the roaring fireplace to have a couple drinks. I can highly recommend the cheese fondue. It is a strong cheddar melted with Killian's and served hot with apples and a pretzel roll to dip. A real don't miss. The atmosphere is casual and is believeable as an Irish pub. Molly's does have a menu for a full meal but we have always preferred the appetizers and drinks. I have had the shepherd's pie, a burger and the potato soup and not been overly impressed. They are adequate but not knock your socks off. I think their best roll is as a great drinking establishment rather than a restaurant.

I have so many great memories of this place. By far my favorite place to eat or drink in Erie. Molly Brannigans is perfect for business lunches, romantic dinners, or even a night out with the girls. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

All the ambiance of a Traditional Pub
I love this place. It has all the comfort and atmosphere of a traditional pub (pulic house) that you would find in Ireland, Scotland and Britain. It has something from the private corner for a little romance to the sofas and fireplace where friends can gather to socialize with a traditional Irish coffe or a pint of your favorite ale. The food is exceptional and the portions very generous and well with the more moderate price for the food. But if you're looking for a combination of traditional food and the "old world pub" atmosphere Molly's is well worth it, especially when they have traditional and local bands of all musical varieties. It's just one of the good times to be had in downtown Erie.

An Excellent Place to Eat!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/30/07
One of Erie's most unique and fun restaurants!! Food is excellent!! Very affordable...not pricey at all, plus they have specials every day of the week!! Great selection of beers and liquor! Happy hour from Mon-Fri makes drinks very affordable also!! Extremely friendly staff, excellent service, and great atmosphere! Great place to visit if you are from out of town! Highly recommended!

Irish Invades Erie
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/05
Molly Brannigan's Iris Pub is just that - a true Irish pub complete with visiting musicians and dancers on some weekends. There are a few booths up front, tables near the back, and many more upstairs. Get there early for the coveted spots around the fireplace! The food is good, the drink even better. Guiness on tap. Come after work, for lunch or on the weeknights and you'll find a good time. PROS: Great Food CONS: A Bit Pricey

Great Reuben!
By Julia, 8/21/05
Love the place, the decoration and style are great, feels like being in Ireland. Their Reuben Sandwich is amazing, incredible good. They have nice beers but not cheap, good drinks too but not cheap either. Could get very busy and crowded, not a good idea to go there in search of peace or a romantic night, on weekends the place is packed, sometimes it's impossible to walk between all that people. The place is not cheap and even during Happy Hour the beers are more expensive than in other places. Good to go there early, have something to eat and a couple of beers, if you want to get waisted you better take extra cash or go some place else. Over all a good place to be depending on the day and hour.
