Plymouth Tavern

Description

Can you feel the ghosts? Do you hear the laughter? You're on Old State Street in the late 1800's. Vehicles of the day are the trolley, the buggy, and the bicycle. "Entertainment Row", as the 1100 block of State Street was called, is vibrant and bustling. People shop at the grocery, pick up a potion at the medicine store, congregate at clubs, and watch a show at one of the nickelodeon theatres of the day.

This place is outstanding, In fact outstanding is too mild of a word to describe the consistent high quality of food, the wonderful service from the bartender and the wait staff, and the friendlyness of the patrons. The popcorn machine is ideal and I always have a warm and fuzzy feeling. Two for one pizza and wings are a great value and Wednesday seafood special is a great buy. The atmosphere is really unique and most cities only strive to have a bar similiar to the Plymouth.

Great Place to Meet With Friends!!!
By ,
The Plymouth is one of the best places to meet and have drinks with friends! It is easy enough to carry on a conversation, even when the place is packed! Lunch is extremely affordable and delicious!! Drink prices are amazingly cheap - and the daily drink specials are the best in town!

Good place to go in Erie PA
I liked the Plymouth very much. The food is good and the crowed is mixed. Cost are moderate. Check it out when in Erie. You may see me there!

Worth a look

Decent place to go for some great finger food (as long as they aren't busy). Service can be a bit slow, but the food is worth the wait. On slow days, the place tends to be a bit on the quiet side, which lends itself to be a great place to duck in for a quiet bite to eat w/o the usual riff raff you would find in most bars.

Good most of the time
By ,
Good place to go most of time. The food is good, the atmosphere great. I don't like some of their barmen though, I saw them being rude with some patrons, during busy hours they can be slow. Not a good idea to go there hungry on a busy night, sometimes they can take too long to serve you and I got some burned fries sometimes. Good beer, fair price, I asked once for a drink with Kahlua, Amaretto and milk and was horrible, it felt like a bad tea, so I didn't ask for it again.I had Margarita once too, awful, awful! I'll stick with beers only. But overall, a good experience.
