The food is alright for the level of the place but the atmosphere lacks greatly, especially when the waitresses are cruelly degraded right in front of the customers. My advice, drive 50 more feet and eat at Curts, their food is at the same level but the owner doesn't treat the wait staff half-as-bad. Who can eat when you lose your appetite from listening to the owners wife Debbie cruelly insult the staff or when Tom the owner is to busy looking at the female form to run the place he owns?
Extremely slow service. It took about an hour for breakfast on a weekday at 9am with few customers. Have had very good food in the past when traveling through the area in years past, so tried again on the weekend with a wait time of just over 1.5 hours for a meal. Most of the customers were unhappily waiting about an hour for their breakfast. The staffing needs to be increased during peak hours. Food only fair at best. French toast on homemade bread and pancakes seem to be a safe bet.
This is a place I can remember from visiting the area in the past. It has gone down hill drastically. Food is bland, service is the worst ... when you can even get served. I would definitely recommend that you just KEEP ON DRIVING!! Not worth the stop.
