Would have been a great night until,
the owner and her chef started screaming at each
other so loud we could hear everything in the bar area
before our dinner reservation time.
We left after drinks and will NOT be back.
Best Vodka sauce I've tasted in a long time. A friend of mine and I went there and really enjoyed the atmosphere, a bottle of wine and the food. Service was great, not too overwhelming but didn't leave us hanging ever. I recommend this place to everyone who's looking for good food at a good price.
Primo's is a find! We went there 5/1/10 to hear musician friends perform (guitar legend Tony Janflone, Sr. and blues singer Jessica Lee), and we got a bonus: it's a great Italian restaurant! (It's the former Trotter's, atop the hill on 19 north, just beyond the Racetrack Rd turnoff.) The food is excellent. We tried steak, scallops, eggplant parm. Steak done perfectly. Scallops melt-in-mouth tender. Eggplant stuffed w/ricotta, yum! Bread & dipping oil. Killer mango mousse pie dessert. We were there when they were super-busy, yet service was prompt and food flawless. Very friendly, attentive, veteran waitstaff. The owner is a gem: she brings the personal touch, personally directing the waitstaff, chatting with guests, loves jazz, and freely interacts with the musicians...she has created a really enjoyable Italian place with friendly, casual atmosphere where we are taking family & friends. Primo's is truly primo!
My favorite Italian restaurant! I've never had to wait long to be seated, they serve the most generous-sized martini anywhere, and the food never disappoints. The breaded zucchini appetizer is to die for. I love their marinara, too. Thick and hearty. The dining room is not large, and there aren't many booths, so I always try to go early on Saturday evenings. I recommend it highly.
This is a fqntastic restaurant. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding!! The presentation of the food is exceptional. The atmosphere is pleasant. The owner's not only provide a great meal but take a personal interest in you as a customer. They make sure their staff are taking care of you and that you are enjoying the food.
The food and atmosphere were wonderful. The owner greeted us at the door and made sure we were statisfied with our experience which was a big plus. I would recommend to anyone as long as the lack of a non-smoking section is not a problem. The pricing was a bit on the high side and parking is limited but would not deter us from this dining experience.
