Palomino Restaurant Rotisseria, Pittsburgh

Great place to eat before a show! We told our server we had a 7:30 show and she took great care of us. We sat at a beautiful pink marble table in a sophisticated dining room with views of the city and street. Kobe beef ravioli, lobster mac and cheese and the tilapia special were delicious. This place has it over other cultural district places with it's own parking ($3) and kid's menu and less crowding. Park in the Palomino garage and bring your parking ticket in so they can validate it. We made it to the Theater Square parking garage no problem and enjoyed the Lion King after a great dinner at Palomino.

Exciting and tasty dishes are served at Palomino in a lovely atmosphere. I'd give it five stars, but each time I've been seated in the main dining room, the service has lacked. On the other hand, sitting in the bar area has excellent service. A great restaurant that's worth a trip downtown!

My husband and I enjoyed this restaurant after a recent stay in downtown Pittsburgh. It was from within walking distance of our hotel on Penn Avenue and close to the theatres. We got a great window seat up front. The nicest thing about this restaurant is while the menu is diverse, it is not stuffy or pretentious. You saw people dining in attire suitable for the theatre and those who were either pre- or post-hockey game attendees. The variety of the menu is diverse in that you can choose to have a wood-fired pizza or salad as an entree, or choose from one of their many other creative dinner selections. We chose Sangria as a pre-dinner drink and enjoyed it. The bread before dinner comes with wonderfully tasty and flavorful marinara sauce scented with fresh basil--it was the highlight of the meal. We didn't have one bad thing to eat. We both got dessert and while I had the chocolate torte and it was good, my husbands apple & berry cobbler was to die for!! Our waitress with thoroughly knowledgeable about food and the menu and was cordial and a superb waitress. All in all it was a great dining experience!

Palomino is a wonderful place for any occasion. Their timely and friendly service and outstanding food makes it a perfect place for a business lunch, after hour drinks and special dinners.

Wonderful downtown location with a good view, and great food. The crowd is a bit pretentious for Pittsburgh, and it is not a very comfortable environment.
