Dave & Buster's - Restaurant & Arcade
Dave and Buster's huge complex contains a restaurant, two bars, pool tables, Skeeball, shuffleboard, video games and Virtual World, which is something like a virtual-reality ride. The complex is the size of a warehouse and the perfect playground for adults, although you will find a lot of children running around as well. The food is American cuisine and served until it quiets down. The bars are well stocked with beer, wines and mixed drinks. The place is always packed and noisy. On most nights there is an hour wait for dinner.
While the games are GREAT and their selection is amazing, their food is best compared to McDonalds, only not being cheap and fast, but having about the same taste quality. There servers have always been beyond nice so really the place is great. However I will NOT give another dime to their kitchen. I have eaten there probably 10 times in the last year or so, hoping it will get better. 9 out of the 10 times my order has been either overcooked, undercooked, or wrong entirely. Once I got really good food so I kept coming back hoping.
I have ordered cheese sticks that were burnt so bad they didn't have cheese in the middle, french fries that were cold due to being undercooked, chicken that wasn't cooked all the way (to which the manager apologized and returned the order), burgers with hard buns (once a friend had mold on her bun), etc etc.
In the end, the staff is great, I hear the alcohol is good, and the games are amazing, but if I want food, Rock Bottom is right across the way.
Great place for those that want more than a simple meal. D&B features an entire arcade full of games, as well as a bar, pool tables, skee ball etc. Think Chuck E Cheese for adults, with better food and liquor and you get the general idea.
I was amazed when I was able to take my family on a Family Night Out and only spent $60. With the way restaurant prices are that was very inexpensive. The games were kind of pricey, but over all if you want to have fun this is the place to go especially in Pittsburgh winters. The waitstaff left much to be desired (use to be a waitress, so I know a little about customer service), but over all the atmosphere made up for the people....
This place rocks. You get to drink smoke and play some of the best games all at the same time. The food is great and the service top notch. Just make sure you bring a fat wallet cause you are going to need it to do everything.
