We decided to try Kings because we were looking for something with a local flair and just regular food. When we entered the restaurant, the first thing we noticed was that the ceiling tiles were very dark and could use a good cleaning or maybe even replacement. The staff was very friendly and courteous and our waitress checked on us frequently to ensure that we were taken care of. While the staff was good, the food was a different story and, unfortunately, the best parts of the meal were the iced tea and the warm rolls. The mashed potatoes were like modeling clay and the gravy had the consistency of pudding. None of the food was undercooked but everything was over-salted. I will have to say that, overall, this was the worst meal that I’ve ever gotten in a restaurant. I gave them one star only because that’s the lowest rating that can be given.
