Texas Hot Restrnt, Wellsville

I love going to the Texas Hot when I'm in Wellsville. I'm an author, placing a series of books in Allegany County, and I mention the Texas Hot several times because rarely does one get the continuity of a well-run family business, small town atmosphere, great staff and to-die-for food repeatedly. We've sampled the burgers, the hots, the hot sauce (wonderful, great job!), the fries, the chicken and biscuits, the shakes and the pies.... Oh, the pies, I could go for a graham cracker cream pie right now. Great job all around and I can't wait to bring my daughters back in December as I do research for my Christmas book. See you guys soon!

I loved going to Texas Hots as a child. I am in town visiting and wanted to go to Texas Hots. We went for lunch today and the food was just like I remembered, it was great.The place looked the same and I loved the old jukebox. The waitress was not very friendly, she did not say Hi and she walked away while we were giving our order. She was very rude and she just sucked as a waitress. I did leave her a dollar tip, and that was to much. I was a waitress and I know how hard it is to wait tables, but I was at least friendly. I don't know what her issues were today, but when I go back, she will not be my waitress. She did not refill our water/coffee/tea glass. We could tell that she did not want to wait on us. I went next door and bought 3 Texas Hot t- shirts to take home. We are wearing them to the family outting on sunday.. I am just so disappointed to have had this experience at such a great place. I am giving a rating as a 2 due to the waitress experience. otherwise it would of been higher. Hope she can acquire customer service skills. Its sad that a waitress can turn a happy experience into a negative experience by their actions.

My familly and I went here for the first time while we were in New York visiting my mother. The food was delicious. Try the Texas Hot if you go. The waitresses were very polite and nice. I am looking forward to our next visit.

On March 28,2009 will probably be the last time we will eat at the Texas Hot in Wellsville NY WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT !! #1 What has happened to the hot dog sauce ??#2 Rolls were cold and hard!!! #3 ONIONS---who chops them? There were large pieces on top of our hot dogs--and the fries,,,,well to be honest ,, they were as they always have been ..terrible !!!!! Is there new management now or what ??? I can see you losing MANY custermers real fast, WAKE UP and find the right recipe or you are out of business !!!!! Native of Wellsville

They have a great staff... the food is great too! I love going in there to get a quick bite to eat. Sheryl the waitress is awesome!

Five generations of my family have eaten there. My grandfather used to eat lunch there everyday. My parents,aunt, and grandmother just had take out from there tonight, wish I was there. I currently live outside of Albany,NY which has three well known hot dog places that were established in the 30's. They can't even compare! I love the tuna melts and milk shakes too. Can't wait to get back!

THEY HAVE THE BEST CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICHS EVER. 2 THUMBS UP.

TEN STARS!!!!!!!!!! Been going to the Texas Hot since 1962....hasnt changed and hope it never does.....Beyond excellent. Wish I had the recipe or they bottled the sauce. Nothing else on earth compares to the food, service, atmosphere, or anything else there. Good old fashion food and service not to mention price. Beats any restaurant hands down.

love the atmosphere. awsome fries and breakfast is great. fast and friendly for my senior lunch period.
