Seneca Harbor Station, Watkins Glen

Great place to eat and relax. We was seated very fast and as busy as they were, service was great!

We recently decided to take a little trip to Watkins Glen and we had a wonderful time. We stopped at the waterfalls and then headed to water. We chose Seneca Harbor Station because it was on the water and I've heard wonderful reviews of the food. We walked out on the pier and rocks and then decided to go on the guided boat tour before dinner. The tour was very informative and fun. We were a party of six and we were sat after a short wait and enjoyed a drink in the lovely bar while we waited. My boys both had the grilled cheese sandwiches which were made on Texas toast bread and they loved them. The prime rib was tender and cooked to perfection. Having spent some time in Md - I was very impressed with the crab cake. We also loved the broiled seafood platter - perfect amount of a variety of seafood. Lastly, the tilapia dish was absolutely delicious - light but full of flavor. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable and all really happy. Our compliments to the chef and staff at Seneca Harbor Station - we had a terrific time and we will be back soon. The dinner was well worth the drive for us. Looking forward to our next visit.

Being my first trip to the area I wanted something special. I guess I should have checked the mixed reviews before I decided that the website made it appear as if it would be worth the hour and a half trip and excessive price for ambiance. My girlfriend had scallops with bacon which were tasteless and a cobb salad of some sort with a tasteless dressing. She thought it maight be her so she had me try it and she was right. I had a small cup (almost shotglass size) of what was supposed to be gumbo and then jambalaya for main entree which was the soupiest I have ever had. Would definitely not recommend spending this kind of money here. It was lunch time and service was good but that was the waitress and her diligence not the chef.

You are paying for the view here. The service is either slow or you feel like you are being pushed through. Parking is a nightmare and the food tastes like it was order from Sysco, nothing tasted fresh.
