I am a summer resident and ventured to LV with my date due to their nice street appeal. It was Monday and it took several minutes to be addressed by the greeter and get a seat. It was then 5-10 minutes before we got a waiter and menu. Wine came after we made our order - crappy chianti in a caraffe ($18) likely from a jug or box. The wine was actually warm. The salad bar was mediocre and the soups reminded me of a school cafeteria. I ordered seafood medley with pasta; it came with the pasta nearly cold and cooked to mush. The shrimp had an awful after taste, the haddock was mushy and the scallops were slimy. I nearly lost it. We asked for water twice and it finally came. It was pretty bad and I will never return.
Little Venice is one of the best restaurants in the area... with the amount of food you get for the price it is well worth it!!! the salad bar is always full and the soups you can tell are made fresh. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and the wait staff is very attentive. the whole staff goes out of it's way to make you dining experience very pleasant.
The first time we went we had a fantastic meal and good service. There were four of us and drinks for around 85.00. (We spend that much for two of us at Red Lobster and drive an hour). The second time was a total disaster!!!!!!!!!!!!We were the second ones there. Four more seperate groups came in after us/ The original people and the four groups all ate and left and we had not even received our food yet. I was livid. It was an hour and 45 minute trip to Hell!!!! I have not been back since.
If you like ersatz Italian food served by an indifferent staff, Little Venice in T-Burg is the place for you. The food is close to tasteless, and what taste there is approximates yuk. The coffee tasted like the 2nd time thru the grounds. Not an experience to be repeated.
GREAT PLACE FOR FOOD OR COLD BEER. THIS PLACE IS GREAT. IS BIG ENOUGH TO SERVE YOU EVERY NEED. BUT ALSO SMALL TOWN ENOUGH TO BE FRIENDLY AND WARM. ALWAYS GET GREAT SERVICE. AND THE FOOD. WELL GO TRY THE PIZZA CALLED STEVE SPECIAL. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THAT YOUR TASTE BUDS ARE BROKE. AND I CAN'T FIX THAT. LIKE I SAID THE BEER IS COLD AND THE WOMEN THERE ARE HOT. THE OWNER IS VERY NICE. HE IS GAY, AND IN THAT I MEAN VERY HAPPY ALL THE TIME. THEY EVEN HAVE A POOL TABLE. WHICH ROBIN USUALLY RUNS THE TABLE UNLESS SHE PLAYS ME. THIS PLACE HAS ALITTLE OF EVERYTHING. IF ONLY IT HAD A FOOZBALL TABLE IT WOULD BE PERFECT. P.S THEY ALSO DELIVER ALL THAT GREAT FOOD.
