Are you kidding me !?? Who writes these reviews ?...the owners, and their friends !?
For one, we got duped, as we looked at their own website s menu, online, and were happy to see menu items that sounded tasty, but when we arrived we were given an all-in-one menu, with the same old, boring diner breakfast items. I wish that was the only issue, as that would have been survivable, but the food was on our table in minutes, and the reason for that was everything was thawed out in the microwave, and served just that way...Oh, except for the flavorless burnt eggs, which did not even taste like eggs !...how is that possible !?? Even the salsa I ordered to put on everything, for flavor, had no flavor !
The whole breakfast was very disappointing, and even came to find out expensive, as they over charge you for anything extra.
ps...my Wife is still moaning from being stopped up with french toast logs !
Bet Chef Ramsey would say Shut It Down ! here....I don t know for sure, but I bet if you ask the fly that was living on our plates, he would say the same thing.
The Olympia on Flynn Rd is our favorite restaurant, and whenever we have out of town guests, that's where we take them. The menu is extensive and everything we've tried has been delicious. The chef comes out and stops by all the tables during dinner to ask how our meals are. Even on crowded nights the service is fast and very friendly. If you like corned beef and cabbage and Irish soup, Thursday is the night to go.
The Olympia has been one of my favorite restaurants in the area for many years. I have been going there since it was at its original location (Stone Road at Dewey Avenue). The food is always great whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They serve Greek, Italian, and American dishes -- everything from eggs and homefries to club sandwiches to steak and seafood and almost everything in between. All are very good. The portions are fairly large, and the prices are reasonable. The owner, Mary, is always so nice! The cooks and waitstaff definitely want the customer to be satisfied. It is definitely worth a visit if you have never been there before.
Today is the BIG DAY.After being closed for almost a Month for a full Renovation, the Olympia re-opens today Tuesday 4-19-2011.I will be there for Dinner.
I strongly Recommend this Olympia over the Lyell Restaurant, Same Family. Mary, Is the Owner here and Very Friendly and Warm Hearted as Well as the Entire Staff. Everyone is Very Personable. A True Family Atmosphere. At most Restaurants, The Food is a Given, But It's the PEOPLE that make the Place. Stop in for more than just the Food. Latta and Flynn Rd.
I have been going to this restaurant for years all of the food is Excellent from here if you haven't tried it please do so since I know of the people that own the Restaurant , the staff is always on top of everything if you have something wrong with your order just let them know they will take care of it trust me the fish fry dinners are the best and so is the soups like the Clam Chowder and there is more but just go there and give it a try you won't be sorry
