Tapas 177, Rochester

I love everything about this place! I have never had a bad experience at Tapas 177!

The food and service are GREAT here. Tapas is one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Rochester, NY. The selection of food and drinks is so wide. I'm always trying something new when I come in. -Karen

Tapas is way more than just a restaurant. From salsa lessons, to amazing DJ's and live drummers, this is the place to be if you are looking for great food and dancing! -TD

With it being my first time here, I was very pleased with everything. My group and I got excellent service at the bar, and dinner was wonderful. The food was delicious, and they had a nice selection on the menu. I definitely want to come back because this is quite a gem tucked away in downtown Rochester. - Cadence

It's hard to review the menu because it changes weekly, but I can say that every time we've gone, what we've had, hasn't disappointed. Steamed chicken dumplings were especially notable. Also the hand-rolled eggrolls were great and had very nice sauce for dipping.

One of my favorite restaurants in Rochester. The food is superbly prepared and served. They usually have ostrich on the menu, sliced like tenderloin and delicious. The food is rather creatively prepared but if you prefer basic fare you can find that, too. There is a Latin flavour to the whole place, some latinish entrees, and live bands for salsa dancing on certain nights. I found the dance floor to be overly crowded when I went for dancing, but I LOVE eating there! Don't skip the appetizers either - they are exceptional!

I was disappointed with the menu, and the food. There are no real "Tapas". The menu has anything but Spanish food. The"Paella" has banana pepers (yuck!)

Cosy and tons of atmosphere...love the alcove seating; the food was diverse, wonderfully prepared and presented, and the service was excellent. The whole experience was a good one andi look forward to dining there again.
