Ling Ling Chinese Buffet, Geneva

Excellent on Weekends -- and when NO where else was open on Xmas Eve - TA DAH they were

I have enjoyed a weekend takeout from Ling Ling's every week for the last several years, but today may have been my last! I usually ride into the parking lot on my motorcycle, carrying my travel mug to fill with soda from the fountain machine, after all it is included with the meal, right? I guess not. Some man wearing a cook's apron walked up to me and started reprimanding me, "No soda! No soda! One dollar!" (At least that's what I think he said.) I could tell he did not speak fluent English so I didn't try to argue with him and left the restaurant in shock. One dish I have always enjoyed on weekends has been Ling Ling's baked salmon. For some reason they recently changed the recipe such that it has a spicy hot taste to it, one my husband and I do not like. I have always liked the foods at Ling Ling's (as long as I catch the particular food shortly after it has been prepared as opposed to after it has sat on the food bar for a while). While it is not an inexpensive place to dine, the food has always been good. With the change in salmon and now the demand to pay an extra dollar for taking a fountain drink out with a takeout meal in my own travel mug, I can no longer recommend this buffet to others who enjoy takeout food.

My whole family loves Ling Ling. The food is great and the restaurant is clean. The wait staff is friendly...we've been going there since they opened and have never had a problem with anyone who works there. Definitely go...it's worth it!

Rude staff.. Didn't see a waitress clear our table until I had 3 empty plates in front of me.. Food was excellent... Just don't show up on Friday (Crab night) They don't bring crab legs out often and they are gone in 60 seconds. Waitress was there when it was time to leave.. Waiting for the tip.

I do not agree with Karla on the cheap part. Usually it's 8 bucks for one person to eat! I know I don't eat 8 buck of food. But the food is great and you always leave feeling full. I'm going tonight!

They have all my favorites except, Chicken Egg Rolls, but that is ok!

i loved this restaurant it has the best chinese food i have ever had.the food was cooked perfectly nothing was over cooked and nothing was under cooked. i have never had chinese that was better.

Food cold, waitress very rude non friendly. not smiling at all. First time I've ever had a bad experience there. Hope you can fix those problems soon.

Love there food & service. Great place to bring the kids.
