Pasta Only Cobblestone Rstrnt, Geneva

Before we moved to SWFL several years ago, we boated frequently on Seneca Lake. Dinners at the Cobblestone were always memorable, so on a recent trip we decided to dine there for old time's sake. What a mistake! The house salad was microscopic. The menu selection was not nearly as nice as we'd remembered, and our dinners both came out cold. The restaurant was fairly busy, and they seemed to be understaffed. We tried to enjoy a relaxing dinner, but the staff was running around like maniacs, and it was very difficult with the turmoil in the atmosphere. We asked for a 2nd glass of wine before our dinner was served, and we did not receive it until we were almost through with dinner. Forget about water refills. I think we're through with Cobblestone. Too bad, it used to be very nice.

Nice, elegant atmosphere with a full bar. The food was absolutely amazing. Very good. They have several seafood items to choose from. We had the broiled smoked provolone in wine/herb sauce to start. For the main course we had the homemade spinach lasagna and the chicken mezzaluna. We finished with their chocolate souffle. Portion sizes were very large, so plan to take some home. We were visiting from out of town and were happy that we found this restaurant. We would dine here again if we come through the area. The prices were slightly on the higher side, but nothing too extreme. Maybe about 10% higher than what you would find at an Olive Garden. Definitely worth it with their homemade selections and attention to detail. For our dinner for two, with the appetizer, two bowls of their french onion soup (the best we have had), the main courses, beer and wine, and dessert; the total bill came out to $75.00. We loved the small & quiet atmosphere of the place and their selection of acoustic music for the background. Very nice staff.

The best restaurant within a 30-mile radius. The food is not the ordinary restaurant fare. It's imaginative and delicious.

The Chocolate Souffle has to be ordered when you first order from the menu and a delicious dessert. They are what they advertise, intimate, causual, fine dining. We sat in the small bar near the fireplace and had a fabulous meal, good service and not expensive considerating the atmosphere, freshly made to order food and professional service. Highly recommend it.
