Big Sky Restaurant
Welcome to the home of Big Sky Restaurant and Saloon. We offer a casual atmosphere for everyone where Great Food, Good Drinks, and Fun People Meet. Opened in May of 2004, The Owners, Dan and Gail Hoag, with the help of Gailac2s brother, Terry Sauerbier, the Restaurant Manager, transformed a previous restaurant that has been located here since the 1950's into a faced paced casual dining family restaurant with a great variety of delicious food. With the inception of the Big Sky, it has become one of the premiere destinations in Southern Livingston County, located at 5570 Hartman Road in Dansville, New York. The Big Sky Restaurant and Saloon provides a comfortable casual atmosphere, and is the perfect environment for family dining as well as business meetings and social events. The style is relaxed and the menu is extensive, where everyone always finds something to enjoy. Employing a staff of 12 and seating up to 44 guests in the dining room, Our Restaurant offers personal, courteous service with a friendly smile.. From the moment you meet your server to the last plate being cleared from your table, the staff assures you lack for nothing.
What a waste of time....
Took a very long time to get our food, about an hour for the first orders to show up.... many of our people had finished eating while others were still waiting for food ..
And get this......... nobody else was there , so the place was not busy..
What a joke.... then to top it off... they put everything on one bill after we clearly told the person not to.... took another 45 minutes for her to figure it out... don't order a coke with your meals... they charge you another 2.50 each time for ice with coke flavoring... another joke....Most of us will never drive by this place let alone stop.... One of the worst places I have ever stopped at..... The food was not bad... but why put up with everything else.... the prices are not all the reasonalbe either.........
Went to the Big Sky last night for dinner and drinks.
Apps were good mixed platter of mozz sticks, mushrooms and wings.
Deep fried almost any one can do.
Broccoli and cheese soup so salty could not eat it. Prime Rib Cooked to order but still very salty.
Waitress was very attentive given the fact she was working bar and dinning room at the same time.
Was not a bad place to hang out, very amused with girl showing off her boobies to the local fella's. They must be new:)
Will go again not sure if we will order dinner or not.
After arriving from Tennessee, my wife and I went to Big Sky on Tues Dec 9 and totally enjoyed our dinner in the very homey decorated rustic peaceful smalltown America restaurant. I had a great tasting 7oz burger loaded with all the trimmings. Since we were very satisified with our dinner & atmosphere we went back the next night and had dinners, again a very good meal with ample portions. The prices are reasonable and the service is very good. Try the Chicken Parmesian Bake.... Uhmmm.. it is soooooooooo good... the wife adds it was absolutely delicious... and over the top....
It is hard to find, about 500 feet off the main road but worth it when you do.
We will be back next spring....
