Polish Nook, Niagara Falls

This place is HORRIBLE. We went to celebrate my grandmother's 91st birthday. My mother called a week in advance to reserve a table for 11 and 2 booster seats. We get there and they have 2 tables of 6 set up and only 1 booster seat available since they just gave the other one they own to the party that arrived minutes before us. The waitress offered an extra chair to put the 4 month old baby on... When my mother spoke with the wait staff asking them to seat us all together, they did nothing to accomodate us or fix the problem that they created. Half of our party sat for 30 minutes before anyone even came over to ask us if we wanted a drink and the other half of our party sat for 15 minutes without so much as a menu to look over as we waited. The menu was VERY limited, 2 pages total. Don't go there if you're a vegetarian- only one meat free option available. The tea cup at our table was dirty. We ended up leaving due to the poor service and went to a much nicer, cleaner, more accomodating restaurant. One last thing, be sure to wear a bullet proof vest if you venture out into that neighborhood.

Well I used to frequent the Polish Nook often years ago and was happy to hear it had re-opened, I was amazed by the value. 8 of us ate, 6 adults and 2 children, and the bill was only $84 plus tip. I went for the polish food, and it was delicious. Next time I will order the surf and turf. The woman at the next table had a beautiful filet and lobster tail. The menu listed it at $17.95. Dinners include soup or salad, vegetable and dessert. I was full, and taking part of my dinner home, but made room for a piece of John's famous pumpkin ice cream pie. The food and value are 5 star but the 4 star rating was decor and location, but hey it's the Nook.
