This casual restaurant has a variety of menu items, including sandwiches, salads, and burgers. However, their real claim to fame is their Buffalo-style Chicken Wings. It was opened in 1946 as a corner gin mill by Louise Duffney, but business really took off in 1969, when Chicken Wings were introduced to the menu. Today, they sell over 12,000 pounds of wings each week. Their wings are hotter than most other restaurants, so be sure to have a cold pitcher of liquid libations handy. It's a popular spot to eat before or after a Buffalo Bills or UB Bulls game. - Christine Smyczynski

They are the best. Great service and great food. The combo deal gives you enough to fill you for two days. Skip Anchor Bar's tiny wings and lousy neighborhood and got here.

Completely without question the best Bflo wings in the world. If you contact them, they can send you a care package.

Anchor bar is soooooo over rated!!! This place trumps all and is a fierce chicken wing force to reckon to! Definitely worth the trip!

Anyone that doesn't like duff's is insane. Duff's has awesome wings, crispy and saucy! Doesn't get any better than that! Anchor bar has good wings too, but they're generally overcooked and if you don't ask for extra sauce you pretty much get no sauce! Duff's is quick and delicious!

Wings are way too watery and rubbery! If your looking for the way wings are supposed to taste, go with the original Anchor Bar or any of the many corner bars in Buffalo that make it the Anchor Bar style.

Local Buffalonion here. I do agree that Buffalo has the best CHICKEN WINGS. No Buffalo Wings in this city! Do Buffalo fly? I thought not. I do indeed dig the wings at Duff's. Large, plentiful and tasty to boot. If you prefer your wings crispy as opposed to the slimy variety, make sure you let it be known when you order.

Best Chicken Wings Ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/07
I'm from Buffalo and have loved Duff's since before I can remember. In Buffalo, they're called chicken wings, not buffalo wings. And the anchor bar may be credited with creating chicken wings, but Duff's has perfected it. I've had "buffalo wings" in a lot of different places from Buffalo, and everything is a disappointment in comparison. If you haven't been to Duff's yet, you don't know what you're missing! And if you have, then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Great wings in the city where they started
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/03/07
Locals and others debate who makes the best wings in Buffalo. This one has my vote. It is noisy. Eating wings is messy and won't win any favor from your doctor. That's not the point. These wings are full of flavor and are substantial. You might have to wait for a table in the cramped dining area. There is a bar where you can hang out while waiting. Parking is easy.

Worth the Trip!
By GabrielM, 11/25/06
We live in Toledo, Ohio approximately 310 miles from the door steps of Duff's; but several times a year when I am tired of eating the same old B-dubs and local pizza wings. We pack up the car and drive to Buffalo for the wings. There are several types that I've eaten but enjoy the "original" the best. For wing-eaters this is one to scratch off your list before you die! The service could be better but tollerable considering how busy they get. Also try Anchor in Buffalo and Quaker Steak and Lube with several locations in PA and OH.
