This causal Italian eatery, located in the heart of Niagara Fall's "Little Italy", is a favorite of locals. Opened in 1960 by Michael Capizzi, whose family came from Italy, the restaurant is very popular; at lunchtime you may have to wait for a table. Pasta, ravioli and rigatoni are mainstays, but they also have American dishes, like steak and chicken. Other menu selections include pizza, hot and cold sandwiches, wings and fingers. They are known for their calzones, a deep fried turnover stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella and your choice of additions, like pepperoni. Be warned, every dish is served in enormous portions; expect to take at least half home for tomorrow's dinner! - Christine A. Smyczynski

Michael's is a must go to restaurant. Menu is excellent and is the best meatballs I ever ate. Prices are very very low and the portions are generous. I live in New Haven Ct and is very italian. But Michaels is at least as good

I was misled by the Yahoo reviews for this restaurant. There were five in our party; everyone ordered something different, and all entrees were below average at best. The sauce tasted like it was out of a can, and the service was mediocre at best. We will never go back.

When we travel we always try to find some locally owned, smaller place. We went here based on the reviews and we were delighted with our meals. The sauce is one of the best I have had in my life and I am really not kidding. The meals are large. The restaurant is not really large so we went a bit early in the day to avoid waiting. We got the last table before a line started to form. Too bad we live four hours away or we would be there every week! Oh and the prices are very nice too!

Although the prices have slowly crept up, the portions are so huge, you can take the other half home for tomorrow's lunch. So it makes it worth it. I've chosen the HOMEMADE macaroni which was fantastic. A better choice over the regular spaghetti. My absolute favorite starter is the Greens & beans soup. The chef salad is really fresh and has curls of mozzerella cheese on top. Very yummy. The service is very fast, and they are very courteous. I'm a regular here.

Great Italian food!

My brother and his girlfriend came in from Florida and wanted to go eat something Italian. We took them to Michael's cause we heard rav reviews from our daughter. They were delighted with the incredibly delicious food and service. A very cozy place with great food and ahhh the speggetti sauce is superb!

i eat here at least twice a week. there are always great specialty meals that are constantly changing and keeping me coming back for more. their pizza and everyday menu is to die for also!

Michaels has been serving great food on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls for as long as I can remember. Everything prepared here is very well made. I have never had a bad or unsatisfactory meal here. You can either take out or dine in. Some of favorite options here are their well-made salads and pepperoni pizza. The staff here is also great.

Wondeful food

We went to Micheals and I was surprised to find such a mom and pop restaurant to be so amazing!! The service was quick and efficient!! Also the prices there were very inexpensive and they have a wide variety on their menu. I had the chicken Parmesan and the portion was HUGE!! Very tasty!! We also had dessert which was the fried funnel cake and nevertheless to say I was very pleased. The down side of this restaurant is it is very loud and noisy. You definitely do not get the romantic setting of other restaurants PROS: Inexpensive, wide variety on menu, tasty food CONS: Atomsphere is loud and noisy
