Fortuna's Italian Restaurant & Banquets is located just a few miles from Niagara Falls and Seneca Niagara Casino, Fortuna's Restaurant & Banquet Facility is a definite when making a dining & banquet choice! This restaurant in Niagara's Little Italy, has been pleasing palates since 1945. The third generation of the Fortuna family now runs the restaurant and they continue the tradition of using the freshest ingredients possible. A faithful clientele guarantees they're definitely doing something right. Main courses include handmade gnocchi, ravioli, steaks, veal, poultry, and fresh seafood. Don't ask about the salad dressings and sauces, as they are closely guarded secrets.
We went on a Friday for lunch to celebrate my husband s birthday. It s so hard to decide what to order because everything is so good. My husband loves the veal parm with lots of sauce (they always oblige him!). He prefers spaghetti instead of gnocchi and they happily provide the spaghetti. The homemade sausage sandwich with peppers & onions is one of my favorites. At Fortuna s they aim to please! They are very accommodating and always put the customer first. Thank you for keeping the tradition alive. Your dad would be so proud!
We love Fortuna s fine Italian food. Delicious authentic family recipes and our kids love the pasta and meatballs. The bread that is served with your meal is the best we ve ever tasted. The waitstaff is excellent too.
The veal is cooked to perfection with homemade pasta on the side, the linguine & clam sauce compare to no other. I strongly recommend a dish of greens and beans, not soupy but hearty and delicious. The staff is always helpful in assisting with making a dinner choice as it is impossible to make a bad choice. I have always recommended our family dinners be held there and am always very pleased. Definitely the finest restaurant in the City Of Niagara Falls.
It had been a while since I visited Fortuna’s, but not long enough. The service was mediocre. The chicken cacciatore seemed like something improvised by a fast food restaurant, the sauce was terrible. The gnocchi were over cooked and again the sauce was awful. The woman I was with also had a salad. You would think that they would get this right, but no. Chunks of lettuce thrown on a plate smothered in dressing and the bottom end of a tomato. I did have a soup that was ok. They are expensive for the poor quality. Stay away.
I finally (after 40 years!) went back to Fortuna's Deluxe restaurant in Niagara Falls. It was my favorite treat as a child. I was so looking forward to it. My mom and cousin were with me as well, all with the same warm memories. The waitress recommended the eggplant parmesan to me. It was so bad, I couldn't finish it. I also ordered a pop (soda). There was approximately 3 oz of liquid at $1.75 with no free refills. I asked for a salad with Italian dressing & crumbly blue cheese. My cousin suspected that the blue cheese (like in the OLD days) would be an extra cost. It was. Two dollars (!!!) more. Such a disappointment. We definitely won't be back.
