Saigon Bangkok Restaurant

Description

When you step into this upscale Thai and Vietnamese restaurant, you'll feel the stress melt away immediately. The classy ambiance includes soft music, muted colors and real cloth tablecloths and napkins. The food is excellent, with choices like Chicken Satay and Hot Basil. Beverages include Thai iced tea and Vietnamese coffee, which is so sweet, it could be considered a dessert. Lunch selections include steamed rice dishes like green curry and pad kapow, with your choice of meat, along with a selection of noodle and vegetable dishes. Some of the Vietnamese dishes include pho , mi xao don , bong cai and ana xao lang . Dessert includes homemade coconut, green tea or mango ice cream. - Christine A. Smyczynski

One of the best Thai Restaurant in Town. I have tried almost everything on the menu and was never disappointed at the freshness and care put into each individual dishes. The soups(Tom yum and Hot & Sour soup) here are to die for, especially if you have a cold it will most likely clear up your sinus. It's that hot but very flavorful. The menu range from exotic tasting dishes such as the Dancing Seafood which is spicy and tangy to the common Thai noodle such as Pad Thai which is sweet and savory. I am very glad that the folks at Saigon Bangkok Have open a second location in Williamsville on Maple and Transit which is minutes from my house. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something new and different.

Tom Yum is THEE best in the area...
By display name, 7/17/06
First off the other reviewer must have his taste buds malfunctioning. There's alot of thai places in the area, and seems each one excells just a bit more than the other on one or two items. The Tom Yum here is one of them, as is the Tom kar Ghai...both I reccommend. Generally, I don't like a place that does 2 or more types of food (ie. chinese/thai, or japanese/thai, etc etc) But this is an exception... they do Vietnamese a few steps fancier than the average PHO joint (which I AM a fan of), so it's a bit unique in the vietamese side of the menu. The thai is consistantly excellent...I can't resist stopping really often. And the staff are friendly... I've seen 'em being so nice even with the most clueless ignoramous customers... always polite and good at answering questions or making selections. It DOES get busy...(because it's so GOOD).. so heads up on that. Mango curry, when in season will rock your sox. Try it.

A "must to go restaurant" when I'm in buffalo
By Thong, 10/26/05
I've been back and forth to buffalo area on several business occasions and I must say that Saigon Bangkok restaurant has to be one of my favorite dine in. The food was great compare to other Thai restaurant I've been to in other cities. The services was prompt and friendly. On one occasion when I had mistakenly order the wrong entree but the server staff was more than helpful and offer to take back the dish and made the dish that I was trying to order. I find this to be very generous and excellent service. The food was great and the price is very reasonable. A must go to place if you are ever in the city of Buffalo.

Save your money!
By yee darc, 10/10/05
Being an Thai/Viet food lover myself, I decided to give this place a try. First of all, it took them 30 minutes for them serve the TomYum soup I ordered. It tasted horrible, nothing like I ever had before, and I told the waitress to bring it back to the kitchen. The entrees were marginal at best, very small portion for the price. In the end, it cost me and my friend 20 dollars each to dine at this place, they even had the audacity to charge me for the horrible Tom Yum soup that I asked the waitress to return to the kitchen!! Absolutely horrible place!

lovely thai and vietnamese restaurant
By David T, 5/4/05
I had the pleasure of dinning at Saigon Bangkok restaurant on May 1 2005. The quality of the food and service was superb. I would recommend the vietnamese hot and sour soup. By far one of the best Thai and Vietnamese restaurant around the buffalo area.
