Description

Close to the University at Buffalo's South Campus, this restaurant caters to the student population and area business people. Reputed to have the best omelets in town, the restaurant also hits the spot with its traditional Lebanese dishes and various veggie burgers. Dishes include such Lebanese specialties as kibbeh (ground lamb, cracked wheat, and pine nuts), and swarma (beef marinated in wine). Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily by an efficient and friendly staff. The Sunday morning brunch is a food-lovers feast.

Amy's Place is awesome for breakfast. I wish I would've known about this place years ago, when I was still at UB. The prices are cheap and the crowd is unique. It feels like you're in a funky little diner in Greenwich Village, with the paintings on the walls from local artists and the hippie paraphernalia everywhere. The food is fantastic, but don't expect to be waited on hand and food. You get your food...and then you get out! Love this place!

Great food and many menu options suitable for vegetarians. The restaurant is very small and decor is not so great...but the food makes up for that! The waitresses are always very friendly and the prices are low; I would recommend Amy's Place.

Best in Buffalo

Just the best. No frills, great service, fantastic food, and breakfast is 99 cents on weekdays before 9. Great vegetarian selections, very broad menu. A few tables outside in the summer.

Great evening diner

This place is completely different morning & night. In the morning it's packed, full of old people and very friendly. At night, it's full of college kids and very fun. The food is excellent, the prices aren't bad, and the waitresses are really nice, no matter what time of day you go.

Exactly what Main Street eateries should be

This is the type of eatery that South Campus needs because it totally fits into what you'd expect a college campus to have nearby. The food is excellent, not badly priced and the service is quick & always nice. It's a shame that Main St. doesn't have more places that have this quality food or service.

The restaurant that I miss the most!

I grew up in Buffalo but only discovered Amy's Place during my time as an Architecture major at the University at Buffalo. This was a place that you knew you could go for a great meal with not a lot of cash. There were very few times when I'd been there that there was a table open for more than 10 minutes. Having moved out of state, Amy's is on my list of places I MUST go while I'm home for a visit. If you've never been there, you should try it!

Why we really like Amy's Place

Our urban tribe consists of 2 vegans, 1 ovo-lacto veg, and an omnivore. The 4 of us can always find something fabulous to eat at Amy's. The service is fast and super friendly The food is always excellent and very fairly priced. If you go, order a full size Lentilberry wrap, but don't be surprised if you need a doggie bag because they are huge!

The best pancakes in Buffalo. You create your own and they are big, fluffy and crispy on the edges with butter. My favorite: Banana Pecan. How do they do it?

Love it!

So, I moved here from NY city, and so far Amy's is the only place I have found where I am never dissapointed with my food, whether it be a diner style burger, or falafel's and humus, or a steak sandwich, I always love what I am eating. Their early bird breakfast deal is the best value going anywhere. The ambiance is definitly hippie/punk and a little grungy, but as someone who misses the old lower east side of NY I appreciate it. I only wish they were open 24/7
