I am surprised by the one negative comment below. We have been there at leats 3 times and was always very happy with the food, service, etc. I suggest trying it because I don't agree with the negative comment below
I was very disappointed in this restaurant. For the price of the entrees, ranging from $18-$27, I would have expected better quality. The night stated with our waitress handing us paper menus to choice our meal from. I though this was rather distasteful. The pasta faguli was basically a clear broth loaded with broken noodles, with a few cannalli beans tucked in here and there. The veal parm was pounded so thin that it was completely dry and lacked any recognizable favorable at all. The spaghetti sauce would have been better if they used jar sauce, and I'm Italian! I ordered the salmon and it too, was over cooked and very dry. The peas were served cold and still had that frozen bag taste to them. As we were in the middle of our dinner, the hostess rudely interrupted us in order to ask us if we would like to enter a drawing for an Avon basket, which she had in her hands. I was there to enjoy my meal, not to be solicited. The only thing that was, in any way, decent at this restaurant was the salad, and even that was loaded with too much dressing. I will not be returning to The Dove anytime soon.
Portions are generous at The Dove.
Most meals (that we've had) come with salad, soup and a lemon sorbet.
Ambiance is typical italian; grape decor, crooners...
Good for a romantic dinner (not too crowded) or for families with older children.
