An area landmark since 1948, this cute country restaurant features home-cooking at reasonable prices. It's known affectionately by locals as the "pig restaurant" because of the hundreds of pig-themed knickknacks that adorn the walls. Daily specials include breaded pork chops on Monday, chicken and biscuits on Tuesday, pasta on Wednesday, liver and onions and pot roast on Thursday, haddock on Friday, roast turkey and pork on Saturday and omelets, crepes, waffles, and more on Sunday. The menu features home-made soup and chili, sandwiches, and classic dinners like country fried steak and homemade meatloaf. Breakfast is served all day , and the desserts are homemade. Of special note is their L.A. cinnamon toast. Their new division, Piggy's Pizza, features pizza, wings and more. - Christine A. Smyczynski
This is definately going on my do not return list. First my plate was delivered to the wrong table, taken back into the kitchen and then brought out to me. Then, when I asked for more decaf - waitress filled the regular pot and the decaf from the same spiget - must have been magic. And she did it in direct view of my table!! The only time she asked if we needed anything - she just kept walking, never stopped to hear what we had to say. Why bother to ask? Finally, when the bill came, she charged seperately for wrap and fries when it was clearly a special on the board (when I brought to her attention, she planned it on whoever wrote it on the board). She took off a coffee and then asked for the same total as on the original bill. When I called her on that, she looked totally baffled but finally got it right. Never again.
terrible service was served cold by a really tanned women on Saturday morning kitchen looked very unsanitary, saw people eating in the back. however the pizza special and pizza on Tuesday is phenomenal keep it up on the pizza.
The Country Cottage on 4072 Beach Ridge Road Pendleton NY Known to me as the Pig Restaurant because of all the pig nick nacks they have there. This is the best place to eat, the food is great the service is outstanding and the portions you get more than you bargain for. The prices are easy on the wallet and the home made deserts are to die for, if the rating system went higher I would rate this place on the top. This is a great place to go for good food just like mom made.
