Asa Ransom House, Clarence

Joanne and I went there last night and the meal was very poor. Prices were very high and portions were very small and there were no vegetables or soup. The Old Ransom house was one of our favorite places in the past but I would not go there again.

We really love the feeling of the place, from the service to the old english feel . Food was tasty and the service was great.

Recently attended a private party there. We had Hollow room to ourselves which was nice. Told to arrive at 3:30 however nothing even to drink served until almost 5:00. Even when water was requested we were told they'd be serving in awhile. At dinner, Appitizer plate was attempted to be taken away as my fork was heading for plate. Had to be told "I'm not done." Three of us were order by waitress to cut our meat to see which was the rare one as she'd confused it. It was a forth who had it however everyone was pretty well into meet to switch. Wine glass just removed from the table with wine still in it. Dirty spoon. For price of dinner Sodas should have been included.

My fiance and I went there the weekend of our engagement. The food was absolutely terrific and the atmosphere was incredible. The employees made you feel as though you were right at home. We would definitely like to go back in the spring when we can take advantage of the balcony. We also stayed in the Blue Room, and it was gorgeous! I would recommend this B&B to anyone that would like to enjoy a night away in a romantic atmosphere. This experience has made us want to try different B&B's all around New York State.

My husband and I are so pleased with the quality and historic atmosphere of the 'Asa Ransom House', that we have decided to decorate our own bedroom similar to the 'Blue Willow Room'. The room was so comfortable it absorbed you within its interior. The dinning and service was exceptional and romantic, and the food was devine. The 'Asa' chef is magnificant! We can't wait to go back in the spring so we can enjoy the refreshing outdoors on the balcony that overlooks the gardens. We recomend the 'Asa Ransom House' to anyone who would like to make a memory to cherish forever!!

Say hello to George the dog and Bob the owner when you stay at this luxurious place. With many nicely furnished rooms, you'll have an absolute wonderful time there! Good food in the morning and for dinner, along with a great host, great service, and simply beautiful and comfortable rooms. Nice fireplace in the rooms as well. :) Visit them today! We had my sister's baby shower here. It was an afternoon tea. Absolutely wonderful! The food was just delicious and the choices of tea were great. My mother was worried that we wouldn't have enough food--no way! We ended up taking food home. The desserts were scrumptious. The room was very nice and the waitresses were great. We'll be back for more showers!

My husband and I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Ransom House. We found it most delightful. The service was great, the room was fantastic and would totally recommend this place to others. In fact, I have three couples who have reserved rooms since we have been there a few weeks ago. Maybe I should work for them as a PR person?! None-the-less,it was the fantasitc.
