Food/Service used to be pretty decent. Both have gone down in quality although the bad service has always been something you have to put up with there. The manager never comps meals or takes anything off the bill. Even if (and I have) found a hair or have gotten your food cold. The cold food is pretty common there but come on! Who wants to pay for food with a strangers hair. The manager has got one bad attitude and seems to care more about the bottom line than the quality of service. I have never been treated with such disrespect. I will never eat here again and I deffenetly will retract the recommendations I have given over the years. I used to bring clients from my realestate business. Never again.
Regarding that negative review....I was there that night when a group of ten came in. It was a busy Friday night. All I have to say about that group is my husband thought he would have to take action based on how loud and out of control they were acting. The whole dining room was staring at them and didn t know what to do. I am grateful this doesn t happen every time we go out for dinner at the hotel. It is always enjoyable. I guess you can t control who is dining with you! And FYI I know that comment is from that table because they left yelling I m going to post reviews HAHA Dinner and a Show!
Food is #$%$. This place is a sinking ship. Getting worse and worse. Service is horrible to boot. Manager is a self entitled snot who refuses to apologize for the hour wait for the food or for the fact that it was soggy/ they forgot my soup. Wont be long now before this place closes its doors for good. Will do the town of alabama a huge favor. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
The BEST food in Western NY. If you love fish they have a large selection of seafood. My personal favorite is the Cajun Broiled Haddock. Close your eyes and take a bite you will definatly rate this place 5 STARS. I m going to eat there on my birthday.
Its Definatly worth it to eat there if you are driving through exit 48a on the 90. its five minutes north of the exit on route 77.
I work construction and I am in the area. For lunch I always stop by and eat in the bar. I get just a bacon cheeseburger with fries and it is so good. Other places I will eat a burger then have to go back to work and I end up feeling sick for the rest of the day. Not at the Alabama Hotel, they have good quality meat and it is not a expensive lunch.
I spend a lot of time at the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge during the summer months for different events and I always go to the Alabama Hotel for great food and a rustic environment. You will never leave unsatisfied!
