i stayed at this hotel for a long time on and off from May of 2010 til October 2010 and i thought the staff was absolutely wonderful, the suites are large, clean and very comfortable for those who spend to much time living in hotels. The hotel is newly renovated so everything is new and stylishly modern and the beds are comfortable. the patio outside is a quiet little gem that i enjoyed quite a bit. i would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone spending any time on the road in Watertown NY
i and my family stayed here for valentines day and the pool is about 10% over chlorinated but everything else was great! I ABSOLUTLEY LOVED IT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They had extermely nice staff and great rooms, rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms great indoor pool, fun place to stay, a lot of attractions close by. Rooms were perfect size for a family of 5. Nothing wrong with the stay for our family, we stayed for 3 nights, it was soooo good.
I normally avoid discount hotels like the plague, but I needed a room at the last minute and this was the only one available. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised. The room is clean, comfortable, and fairly quiet. The furnishings are not top luxury, but not bottom-of-the-line either. I did not find anything to be worn out as others did. The staff is very nice. I was in a business room, which was conveniently furnished with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, desk, free wireless Internet access, and ample power outlets. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and a mall. There was a free USA Today, continental breakfast, and free snacks in the room. The toiletries are nothing to write home about, but I always bring my own anyways, so I didn't care. I did not visit the pool.
The hotel prices are cheap, and the old saying applies, if something seems to be good to be true...it probably isn't.
The staff were friendly but that was as good as it got...
The rooms are like a time warp from the 80's
old furniture, worn out, musty smelling carpets and less than stellar washrooms.
The bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel it was worn out.
We ( wife and 2 kids ) were disgusted with the room and checked out after 1 night of what was supposed to be 3 nights.
We then checked in down the road at the Holiday Inn express and got a suite for $50 more per night than the Days Inn. It was worth every penny more. Great continental breakfast, spotless rooms and pool and super attentive staff.
I filled out their survey and got a response they wanted to give me 50% off my next stay, nice gesture but I would not stay there for 100% percent discount.
I think the owners need to invest in a renovation quickly!
With three children, it is difficult to find a good hotel room that can accommodate the entire family in one room. The 2-bed suite (with a pull out couch in the sitting room) was perfect. The suite was spacious and included a nice bathroom with sink separate from the toilet area -- a must for a group of 5 -- and a kitchen area. The rooms were clean with lots of pillows and towels available.
The cost of the suite was very reasonable, and included free popcorn, a free water, and a free breakfast bar each day. Little perks like that do make stays more enjoyable. The pool was nice, if a bit over-chlorinated.
The only negative about the room was the uncomfortable pull-out sofa. My daughter ended up putting the sheets just on the sofa the second night for more comfort.
Getting to the hotel from Route 81 was easy, and parking was plentiful.
An excellent value for families!
four of us spent the night at the days inn in watertown, we checked in about one in the morning, on our way home from syracuse after a concert, we were all tired and wanted showers, there was two towels for four people, we called the front desk, boy was he put out, we had to go down there to get towels, got ready to go to bed, i have a sinus problem and wanted another pillow, you would of thought i asked for the moon, we didnt get the pillow either, there was a big yellow stain on the underside of the bedspread when we got into bed, it grossed me out so bad wondering what it was that i spent the night in a chair, you could hear people talking and phones ringing in both rooms on either side of us, you could hear toilets flushing all the time, the window doesnt open, there was hair in the tub drain, it was disgusting, they were unfriendly and unhelpful, but boy, they sure wanted full price.........go stay at the microtel in calcium or something, its probably a better deal
