Symeon's Greek Restaurant
With much hard work, treating customers like family, and consistently great food, Symeon's continued to grow much larger than founders Symeon and Ann could ever have imagined. A few years after opening the Commercial Drive location, the first addition, a large dining room was added, which nearly doubled the size of the dining area. Three years later, a second addition expanded the dining area and the kitchen. The business continued to grow with the assistance of many wonderful employees, many of whom are still with Symeon's today.
The Food is Great anf Fast They Clean up well and Take you Dish and You Can pay The Bill Right There on The Way They Do Cash and Other Cards They Do Sbu and They Do Great A!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE Greek food, and this is some of the best. The tzaziki (sp?) sauce is my favorite. Also I love the gyros, calamari, and souvlaki. The staff is always friendly and so quick with refilling water, bringing more food, and delivering the meals and check. My boyfriend and I consider it healthy fast food. Though they are quick to serve, they don't try to push you out because they want to seat new people in your place. Symeon's is by far my favorite restaurant in the Utica area.
Yes they have some great dishes, but most of the stuff doesn't compare to real greek food, its what you would get at a school cafeteria if you were having greek imitation that day. The kitchen even looks like a cafeteria! they have salads lined up and they throw the exact small amount on every place SOOOOO GENERIC!!!
We have enjoyed several family meals at Symeon's Restaurant. My mom loves the souvlaki while I love the fried eggplant strips. The is a great location for a date, a family get together or just dinner/lunch. The staff is outstanding.
There are so many delicious entrees. I cannot wait to go back. Very reasonably priced.
Very disappointing. The gyro was a lamb burger, not sliced roasted lamb from a rotisserie. Not very spiced, salad also a pale imitation of real Greek food. Tasted alright, but I was expecting real GREEK food, not a tame, bastardized version.
If you don't know Greek food, this is likely a nice introduction, as it tasted fine, but I was really looking forward to a real Greek meal as I've had elsewhere. Hence my disappointment.
I don't even like Greek food, but this place was great. Our waitress left something to be desired, but I could see she was not on par with the other waitresses in the establishment. The portions were just right and the food was delicious. FYI, the spanakopita appetizer only serves one.
