Doubleday Cafe

I ate at Doubleday this past Saturday, and didnt have one thing to complain about. The food was good, the service was great,and the atmosphere was what I was expecting.....most everyone taking baseball. I will go back when I return to Cooperstown.

It has good food especially for the one horse town that it is, but the wait staff are rude, slow and bad. I have had numerous people wait on me over the 10 years I lived there and found their staff to be the worst. I even called the owner on one occassion and didn't even get any where. Eat but don't tip is all I can say.

Doubleday has the best burgers in town. Breakfast is really good too. Being a local I always go there when I an in town. I am surprised I haven't taken out stoke on it yet as much as I eat there. When you are in town, enjoy the food if you can get in, in the summertime.

I've eaten at Doubleday several times and each time I have enjoyed the food but found the service to be less than desirable. But, there are few options in such a small town. It is one of the best places to have a sit-down meal.

i had a chance to pop in the doubleday cafe last labor day (2004) and i had a blast. i look forward to the fab lady bartednder busting my chops again
