Nothing authentic about this place. Frankly, the food is awful and the staff indifferent. They didn t do themselves any favor when they moved up .

When Juantias was a little hole-in-the-wall back on Court Street, the food was excellent. Everything was fresh and delicious. I have been twice since the move to Liverpool. The first time, I was less than impressed as the food was not the quality I had often waited 45 minutes in a crowded little bar area for. Even the best of places can have an off night, so we tried it again last weekend. HORRIBLE. I ordered the chimichanga and the chicken tasted like it was out of a can. It had the same consistency too. My mother's beef was dried out and look like dog food. Both our our servings of rice were dry and bland. They forgot to put in my 5 year old daughter's food order. I will not be giving Juantias a third chance. So sad to see what was once a good place to eat go down hill. Perhaps bigger isn't always better. Maybe they should call Restaurant: Impossible to come and save them from certain doom.

i don't see how anyone can think this restaurant is anything close to a mexican restaurant. first of all, i would never dine at a mexican restaurant that uses marinara sauce . no , it is ranchera sauce. do you know the difference. do you think we are stupid. is this guy out to lunch or what. out to lunch where is what i would like to know. i am appauled that he can pass this off as a mexican restaurant......

Went there 5/17/10. Nice place, cold beer, but the food left a lot to be desired. My two chimmies were served barely above room temp. At one point it had been hot as it was served with a lot of burnt cheese that had leaked out. Tough going, even with a knife. Yuck! My partners food was good/plentiful but was nothing to get excited about. She had a combo plate. The appetitzer (Mexican eggrolls) was good and served hot. That was the best part of the whole meal actually. If you wanted sour cream for anything that was an additional $1.50. Bizarre. The salsa provided was okay, but again, nothing great. Tasted like something cheap from a jar and they just added a hot sauce to it to make it spicey. Service was okay, but perhaps a little slow and it wasn't busy in the restaurant (5 other couples and two waitstaff). Other than cold beer - we feel we could have done better at Taco Bell. We won't be back.

Some co-workers and myself went to try out Juanitas and was COMPLETELY dissatified with our service, food and pricing. There were four of us in the group and our bill came up to $51.00 for LUNCH! When I expressed my feeling to on of their waitresses, she told me that their prices are very 'friendly' and that they were looking to go up in price. There is no reason why a lunch should cost $10.95. I will not return and I will not recommend anyone did either! Horrible, horrible place.

I moved here from Southern California and this is some of the worst mexican food ever. Don't waste your time or money.

Great Taco Salad
By ,
This place serves an awsome Taco salad served in a Fried Burrito shell bowl. Juanita has many selections, and has a friendly environment.
