What a joke. Worst experience ever. If rude, anxious, and obnoxious staff is what you crave, this is your place. Overpriced half-***ed food which tastes like it was made for late night drunk college kids. Almost every staff member I ran into needed a lesson in a daily shower and manners. The food today was like what you might find in a grocery bargain bin with last night s leftovers in a styro box with saran wrap over it. Avoid at all costs. We dropped quite a bit of money for a extremely disappointing meal. I took care of our waitress because she was the only bright spot in the entire place.
WOW is this place overrated! Super overcrowed ( prob way past safe fire codes) UNSANITARY, watch how servers use the same dirty towle to clean several tables. Meat dishes are good but sides are not. Better off just going to Arbys. Not worth standing in line a hour trying to get a case of food poisioning, (never mind no parking). Probably the most dissapointing restaurant experience I ever had!
A lot of hype with little to offer. Long wait and when you do get a seat you are rushed. Difficult to get seated where you want. I think they segregate. The food is fair, nothing like the real thing down south. If you have never had BBQ down south you will like the food but if you have had the real thing you will notice that the pork is bland and the sauce has little character. Not a place for real Bikers but fine for weekenders and wannabes. There were so many newbes there it smelled like a leather store.
On a 1 to 10 scale I give it a 2.
come before your hungry. there is always a wait. the vibe is really cool. servers and bartenders are cool, not the most professional but this isnt french laundry. food is tasty and by far the best bet in town but its not earth shattering bbq. come for the great times and music and leave happy with a full stomach and extra to bring home.
Simply excellent. I can not make a trip to the 'Cuse without stopping here (same with the one in Rochester). From the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes as apps to the ribs and brisket for dinner, you can not miss here! Harsh environment, rude service... but that is the point! I have been there 15 times and love it each time. Great bar staff too. For something simple and great have the rice and gravy as one of your sides!
I really like this place. I always have a great time and the food is delish. I have been to two locations, Syracuse and New York. It does get crowded but I think the wait is worth it. The crowds let you know the food is good. The only con is the last time I went, a friend found something in their food, not sure what it was but it kind of put a damper on the rest of the evening. They comped the food of course. I love their garlic sauce, it has the right mix of spice and taste. The wings and chili appetizers are the best. I love getting their house special, you get chicken and ribs with 2 sides for about $15, so good!
