Steak & Seafood, Lake Placid

NEVER RECOMMEND: The service was aweful. took them 25 minutes so we could just order food. and 30 minutes to just get a refill on our drinks. our poor kids were so hungry. the food was straight up disgusting. the hamburger smelled like bad hamburger. my ribs stunk and they put hot BBQ sauce on it. the shrimp were fishy tasting. and its expensive for nasty food and bad service.

We came here during out honeymoon. The service was wonderful, however that is the only good thing i can really say. I was not impressed with my dinner which was half a lobster and prime rib. My wife had chicken parm, which she said was medicore. Everything was just ok, which would not lead me to leave a review like this if it wasnt so outrageously priced... One of their "specials" was 79 dollars, really for a special? I didnt find that anything was "special" about this place.

RECOMMEND!!! Wife and I ate there recently 6/26, great meal and atmosphere. We did not have a reservation, took about 45 mins for a seat...although they explained this upfront. We were able to get a little table at the bar area (while we waited for our table in the dining area) and enjoyed sampling their brews!!! Bar area was busy, but everyone very friendly. Prices were comparable to other establishments in area. I had the blackened prime rib....EXCELLENT! I do not get it very often, but was one of the best ever! And, for the 1st time ever was not able to finish it all... Wife is a vegetarian, we didn't expect there to be many choices (as their website only listed one), however, to our surprise there were a good amount of options. She had the penne ala vodka. Dish was good, not spectacular like my prime rib, but nothing to compain about either. The salads were fresh and excellent. Warm dinner rolls were a nice touch too! Didn't have room for desert, wish we had. Pick yourself up a growler to go too! We brought back one with some Ausable Wulff Red Ale. Thank you for an excellent meal...

The Great Adirondack Steak & Seafood Company is a great place to dine! The food was great as well as the service. Its a very quaint atmosphere that has lots of historical and interesting things hanging on the walls.

Always busy. They are open late during the summer and have the best food! The service is top notch and you never have to wait for anything. They are right on top of things.

The Great Adirondack Steak and Seafood Restaurant serves excellent seafood and steaks as well as some fabulous beers! Their porter is out of this world! I highly recommend the Great Adirondack Steak and Seafood. Restaurant.

5 stars! We visit Lake Placid area several times a year and for lunch or dinner a top restaurant. Food, service and atmosphere are all perfect.

Don't pass this place up. The most consistent restaurant in the Lake Placid area. The selection is great, the atmosphere is terrific. The have an excellent selection of craft beers made on the premises. This place is good and will crowd up, but the well worth the wait. Outside dining in the Summer and and outside fire in the Winter. If you near the movie theater, you must stop in.
