Georges Restaurant, Lake George

Food was great, but be careful what you order, we had a party of 11, 4 children 7 adults. We had a $300.00 plus bill, $42.00 was for sodas, so watch what you drink, the sodas are small and you pay for everyone.

to me george's is the north end log jam, but with no comparison. the atmosphere is great, nice rustic, old time steak house feel. salad bar was good but messy. food was decent with a nice selection although pretty over priced. service was fine. it gets busy there and a little loud. every time i go i forget they don't take discover and i don't believe they take amex either, definitely annoying on that part. i would go back but, i would definitely suggest the log jam first.

my husband and I are both meat cutters and if you want the best prime rib,steks,an seafood then take the time to eat here.if you walk away hungrey.thers something wrong.This is the best steak house we have ever ate at.P.S get ther early

Food was good, a bit steep with the prices. Environment would be nice if the place wasn't so crowded. Parking always takes a while. Not the best place to eat in Lake George, but definitely not the worst.

George's cant be beat. Their prime rib is the best we've ever tasted. Even the queen cut is big enough for two. Staff is always a pleasure.

We discovered George's when we adopted a cat from the shelter that is ran by the owner's wife. What a meal! Great waitstaff, great food, great salad bar and make sure you take dessert with you if you cannot eat it there (which you probably won't) We love the place!! During the summer make sure to make a reservation...the place is mobbed! Absolutely love it!

Always excellent food and an expert, friendly staff. If it's crowded, it is well worth the wait. The owner not only has a great restaurant, but rescues hundreds of displaced cats and grows beautiful roses for cancer patients. It is a business worthy of support in so many ways. Thank you, George

We go to Lake George every summer and it is never complete without a trip or more to George's, best place to eat. It can be a bit pricey but early bird specials are the way to go. The salad bar is truly a meal in itself, but save room for absolutely anything on the menu, get dessert to go!!!!

We ate at George's on our honeymoon and it was spectacular! My husband and I couldn't even finish our dinner after visiting the outstanding salad bar, not to mention the small cut of prime rib could be a full meal for two. We were seated right away on a Friday night. The atmosphere is like a homey log cabin and the staff was very pleasant. We intend on traveling there at least once a year to enjoy it. We have recommended it to everyone we know.

Absolutely fanastic each and every time! Plus we love visiting their cat rescues in the back.
