Everyone was very friendly, they just need a new chef. Dont know who this Dale guy is but he needs to go back to culinary school. They dont know how to cook a steak. Been there twice, both times, my medium strip steak was blood red and 2nd time, wife's well done strip steak was rare!!! Both times the outside was chared too. Complete waste of $$. And I dont dare send food back, god knows what happens! Dont waste your money. The guy at TGIF cooks a better steak, ;).
Dale Miller Sperry's. Well Saratoga has another mediocre restaurant to waste your money at.
Grand opening food was good at best.
I had Pate. One of only three choices and they where out of one of them the Artichoke hearts.
No not goose liver chicken livers ala Sperry's.
Oh by the way order one of these and you'll have enough for the table just ask for extra bread.
gerkins just tossed on the plate and pickled onions just sliced and enough mustard to well you know.
Wife had the crabcake, she said it was good but the wine was hot like tea. So I went outside and the girl by the side gave me two fresh glasses for free,
My steak sucked sorry chef it was overcooked and the Aupoivre sauce was weak. plate was hot as hell. Sara had the Chicken pretty simple Dijon mustard sauce. Dessert was simple Key lime huge share it and warm choc cake. Coffee was cold.
Service was not much better. Lots of people working but nobody in the restaurant.Strange.
Just can't suggest this as a fine dining choice try elsewhere.
The restaurant was great. The atmosphere is casual, but sophisticated. The restaurant has an outdoor seating area which is perfect for warm weather. They have lovely racing pictures. The staff was friendly and attentive.
They have a tapas menu, though I did not try any of their tapas options. I had their salmon and polenta entree. Their ingredients were freshed and everything was cooked to perfection. I loved the warm bread as well. I recommend stopping by.
We were a bit disappointed when we ate at Sperry's as Restaurant Week kicked off. We were seated at 7:00 and the pork dish (only meat on the limited menu) was already gone. After all these years in the business this shows poor planning and no substitute was offered. If your going for restaurant week GO EARLY....Like 6PM!!!!!
P.S. The food we did have was very good.
