Saratoga's finest selection of premium steaks and chops, live Maine lobsters, an array of fresh seafood and award winning wines. An inviting 1823 Victorian farmhouse, with four Adirondack fieldstone fireplaces, provides the ideal setting for an intimate dinner for two or larger social event.
Attentive service - although we don't like wait staff standing in a line watching us while we eat (main dining area) at least we were serviced at appropriate times during meal. Older crowd many who appeared to be regulars. A bit pricey for us on a regular basis although good choice of entrees. Featured wines by the glass (least expensive $6)averaged $8.75. We had seafood and only options were baked or smashed potato while we prefer option of rice. Salad typical with good fresh tomato on side - corn cob or glazed stir fry vegetables - didn't care for stir fry (would have preferred plain). Desserts ran $7 and specialty coffees $8 so we returned home for coffee. **** for service and entree choices - *** for sides and price.
The BEST restaurant we experienced in a long time! Atmosphere, delightful.Entrees pricey BUT worth it....our meals .... a fine dining experience! Beefsteak tomato slices were in a family style platter for our table of 6. Eight ounce petite filet mignon was the largest eight ounce ever... I ordered bernaise sauce on the side and baked potato...all excellent. The filet mignon in this New York restaurant was the best I ever had including fine Boston and Cape Cod restaurants. Salad came with our entrees. Family platters filled with warm round beets and buttered corn on the cob
were served for our table. As we were leaving, walked through the bar area where a piano player was entertaining and the bartender was singing..wish we could have stayed for a while. Wish this restaurant was in Boston!!
