Boathouse Restaurant, Lake George

This was our favorite restaurant to visit this summer. We arrived on a weekend and had a couple of drinks at the out door bar with our friends. It was lively with a live musician and we watched the boats as they came in to dock. For dinner we sat outside on the water. The bread was freshly baked there, the dinner salads (included with meal) were great. We shared a steamers special, crab dip and spinach dip. They were all served hot and delicious. Some ordered the filet and tail special, I had an amazing chicken schnitzel, and a few others had delicious salads for dinner, one with fresh grilled fish, another with steak and blue cheese. We were stuffed, but split a slice of homemade creamy raspberry cheesecake and a piece of homemade toll house cookie pie that melted in our mouths. Fun to go with family and friends. kid friendly. Reasonable prices for location and portion size.

I went there for lunch with a friend of mine on Monday.. The service was phenomenal, the view was amazing, and the food was really good. You get alot of food for the money you spend.. All freshly made. Would reccomend this place to all.. A really romantic getaway....

Our daughter recently had her wedding at the Boathouse Restaurant - everyone who attended was incredibly impressed by the delicious food and attentive staff. As the parents of the bride we found the Boathouse Restaurant to be extrememly accomodating. If you are looking for a unique wedding venue we highly recommend the Boathouse Restaurant.

Fabulous views. You have to take the boat ride when you are here. The rates are very reasonable. The accommodations are more than adequate. Definitely worth the weekend away.

The ambiance is great. We ate outside and it was gorgeous, right on the lake. However, the service and food was disappointing. My husband wanted a salad for dinner and the waitress said they only serve salads for lunch. So, he opted for a chicken sandwich that was inedible. It was so dry he could hardly cut it. When we left we saw some people enjoying a nice chicken caesar salad.

We recently ate outside at the Boathouse restaurant. We had a corner table and a beautiful view of the water and mountains. Since it was pre season, there were only a few other guests dining. The wine was great and the server was really nice. My husband enjoyed his lasagna. The bread was stale, but the view made up for that one flaw. The restaurant is very pretty inside and very clean. We will go to the Boathouse again.

Went for dinner early and the atmosphere was nice and so was the wait staff. The food was okay, but overpriced. The major problem was the restaurant is over a boat launch and it was beautiful sitting on the water and watching the boaters, but when they started the engines it drowned out any conversation we were trying to have.
